Why is it I do roughly the same thing every year...including the mistakes? next year must put roasty veg in earlier

We had an early dinner so we could spend time with our daughter and grandchildren before they departed elsewhere.
Grandson only appeared for presents and dinner, but will certainly appear when he goes to his girlfriends - lift required. He will also appear to be picked up from there tomorrow and be taken to Heathrow to catch a plane to his other Nans.
The GG has been a joy as always and will be back at ours for a re run of today's dinner tomorrow .
Our Bi Polar daughter talks to me like I'm an idiot, I'm probably being a tad sensitive maybe.
Lumpy, advice please.
Anyway, it's not even 4.30 yet, cannot wait to go home.

They have all gone out to take Grandson to his girlfriends, I have an hour on my own, bliss.
Boxing Day will be at home, but they are coming over for dinner.

Nan Sal - that's how they are. Either they treat you, who is the closest to them as a fool or blame you for whatever they can't cope with.

It's not really anything to do with you it's their condition. It's like the old saying 'You always hurt the ones you love'
Trouble is knowing all that don't make things any easier as the friends and family who are close to anyone with a mental health problem are essentially left to deal with it on their own. Christmas, with all it's TV happiness is an idealised time where families celebrate and get on.
Thankfully, many do but there are also many people, who, for whatever reason are not included in this kind of celebration.

It is those people who need our help at this time as they, even in a crowd are alone.

No your not an Idiot in my eyes too Nan! We are all brandished burdens in life to overcome n deal with! Mine being my misses who gets on with her health issues remarkably, my only other issue being "Cheese Cake" I really am full to busting, but surely can't refuse! Surely!
