          • I assume it's not the lying establishment that makes you happy, JA, but the justice for the 96.

What makes me happy? A nice dry day today and a chance to put in a solid stint at the allotment planting stuff out.

            • I did my back in earlier in the week and kept thinking it would heal on it's own. It got worse yesterday and I had a sleepless night on the recliner in the lounge. Daren't lay down in bed in case I couldn't get out again.(Been there, done that in the past).

Rang the surgery when it opened and got an appointment for this afternoon.

With the arsenal of tablets, including diazepam, I will sleep tonight.

It will be the first proper nights sleep in 5 days (I hope)

The doctor did raise his eyebrows a bit when he asked how I'd done it and I said rotavating. (Don't suppose it's a common cause for old(ish) ladies.

Time soon for cocoa and a hot water bottle and hopefully 7 or so hours of proper rest.

                        • The weather forecast. After a cold night tonight there's a string of mild nights coming. So from tomorrow I can get my tomatoes off the heat and into bigger pots on the greenhouse bench.
