  • Taking a night off work. Just moving some berry bushes around, nothing too strenuous, but it's a start.

One bit of old folklore wisdom says to plant tomatoes when the soil is warm enough to sit on with bare buttocks. In surburban areas, use the back of your wrist. Jackie French

        • Two things...

          1. Quick answers on the vine that let me know I can replant my precious, rusted garlic (thanks guys)

          2. A quick pick of my blackcurrants yielded 2lbs (with loads still on there) ditto the redcurrants. The blackcurrants are bigger than grapes this year!

            • Picking my cucumbers, love cukes but shop bought stuff is just tasteless.

Watching our badger eating the food that we put out for him.

Listening to the bees humming on all of the nectar bushes that we have planted in the garden.

LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

And getting to eat some of my blue berries instead of the birds. They were so sweet and so much better than shop ones.

                    • Having just had a 'rant', need to think of something nice.

Sweet peas, raspberries, courgettes, patty pans, runner bean flowers, and celebrated inlaws 'Diamond Wedding' last weekend, amazing, 60 years!
