Snow? ...we've hardly had anything here this winter....so much so , it just feels like a prolonged Autumn.

          • Morning all .

Our snow is almost all gone. Was raining earlier but dry now although overcast and cold out.

Emulsioned the kitchen walls yesterday. Today its finishing off the ceiling crack repair. Got to do the swirls and peaks to immitate the artex already there. I so hate artex. Once that's done and dry, fresh coat of emulsion on the ceiling and another room done .

I'm seeing light at the end of the tunnel.

Just a by the by. Normally when making the swirls, I use an old paint brush that has gone hard. Typically, I don't have one today. Any suggestions? I'm thinking of a litchen fork presently .

Too soft missus. . I'm presently using the front part of a stiff scrubbing brush which although cumbersome seems to be working

For 'soft' swirls it's normally stippler or sponge inside a plastic bag, if no stippler try it using a handbursh (ala dustpan &)

posted while on previous page, see it's now sorted

i am now going to put a lighted candle into a pipe hopping AP thinks its the light at the end of the tunnle and will head this way and do some painting, and he can bring the old scrubber with him
