We aren't getting any nice weather here it's wet, dull and very grey though I must be thankful that the winds have died down....it was only 2* this morning and it hasn't warmed up much yet either. Dare I say that I've not finished cutting my old raspberry canes out I need some gardening mojo

Good morning,
Dry day here, and sun keeps popping out. Got to wait in for a delivery today. So don't think I will be doing much today apart from some knitting and catching up on some TV programs I have missed.
Congratulations Jack on your daughters new arrivalCarrie

I can hear the ducite tones of a chainsaw nearby So I guess by this time next week the skyline out the back will have changed a bit It's a heck of a firwood creation scheme though (pictures to follow)He who smiles in the face of adversity, has already decided who to blame

morning all.
Been trying to get on here but been hitting a few snags . Firstly, when trying to do a complicated email, computer decided to configure some updates. Grrrrh was almost done too and only part of it saved. Should have saved as I went I spose but had me growling anyhoo. Then I filled the sink to wash my paint rollers, did I tell you I had to repaint bedroom ceiling because a bit looked wrong? Never mind, repainted but have to clean up. Anyhoo noticed water coming out of the sink unit /cupboard. More growling. Saw where it was leaking but don't understand why. I've mopped and dried up but now have to cure the problem.
Dry out but washing on line is hingin luggit. Won't be dry this time next week
Edit note. I had overfilled sink and water was running down overflow. Don't think that's been tested since since was put in 15 years ago or so. Anyway, tightened everything up and hopefully everything now sorted. Under sink has had a tidy and clean which was needed anyway so just accelerated that.

I've been running into computer update issues too AP. Blooming nuisance! I think that sometimes makes my computer really slow and then it becomes hard to browse the vine because it takes ages to read just a few things.
Much nicer today than yesterday but I still have some daffs sitting in pots waiting until I brave the cold and dig them into border. Not fancying that at the moment.
Just enjoyed the cold leftovers of a chinese takeaway. Made cooking much easier tonight Hope all is well in vinelandLOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

I sometimes think the update problems are engineered in Marie
Been a nice day up here. Bedroom ceiling looks fine after repainting which is a relief. I'll be in trouble when her ladyship comes home because I took the curtains down and washed them and they are still on the line .
Got a wee bit of work done on the outside of the house. Bathroom window surrounds painted. They may need a second coat but I'll only do that if I absolutely have to. ALso fixed some broken and slipped roof tiles. Wasn't keen on doing a Rod Hull impersonation but that's an important repair done without mishap.

This is SO silly!
Popped up to allotment today as it wasn't raining or snowing!
Was tidying up a bed pulling out some weeds etc, doing a little dig over, found what I initially thought was a mushroom! But no it wasn't, it was the kitchen sink 'plug' that we lost some time ago, and replaced. It had obviously got thrown out with some veg peelings, that were composted, and eventually put on bed!
Now what are the chances of that happening?DottyR
