  • Yes top o the morning for anyone celebrating St. Patrick's Day today

Foggy damp and cold today. Had more foggy days this week than I've known in years. Not doing too much today, having a quiet day indoors.
LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

    • Good morning

Oh must put a few guinness´s in the fridge, it will be well deserved after a long day of cleaning and finishing bits off. Lovely day for it though.

      Have a nice day
I grow 70% for us and 30% for the snails, then the neighbours eats them

I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....

        • Morning all and Happy St. Paddy's day to all who are celebrating!

Quite dull this morning but off to get my hair coloured to get rid of the grey so that should lighten things up a bit! Also meeting a couple of friends for a late lunch. First time I've been out for ages. Funnily enough everything is coming at the one time as I'm meeting my best friend for afternoon tea tomorrow then meeting our OH's later for dinner and drinkies, then off to Edinburgh for a birthday treat on Sunday/Monday, taking in the hockey on Sunday evening of course. Son is looking after Harry boy (dog) so that we can do all this...big thanks to him!
Hope you all have a lovely day.

          • Beautiful day here and the nagging north wind has dropped. Update on Percy cat's tail- it's not broken! He has in fact regained some movement during the week but the vet gave him a good going over, watched him walk and jump all over the surgery and was happy that it isn't broken. Just need to keep an eye on him. He may not regain full movement but that's better than no tail!

            • Happy St. Patricks Day to all on here who are celebrating the day.

Have a good one and enjoy.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

                • Good evening,

Been to the dentist today over my wisdom tooth, he has put me on antibiotics for 5 days. He said it's got infected because my wisdom is still growing threw.

I am on a afternoon shift tomorrow, so I can relax tonight. Last night I didn't get a minute to myself before bed. So tonight, I am going to have my tea, then have a nice relaxing bath, and get in bed and catch up with you lot. Not been on for a few days.

Just making plans for tomorrow. Going to be -1C tonight so probably won't be in garden until it warms up.
Weeding is still a priority unfortunately...I must get my head around mulching in the autumn.

Happy St Patrick's Day to all those celebrating...I'd normally of had a Guinness but am off the booze at the moment...typical eh??

                            Evening Grapeys!
Wendy, I had a cat who was hit by a car and it damaged the nerves in his tail, apparently. I didn't know he'd been hit, but noticed that his tail hung down on the floor, like a wedding train. Eventually, he was able to lift it a bit but it didn't worry him and the vet didn't suggest surgery.
Hope Percy is back to his normal norty self soon
I've been preparing a GH for the tomato season and clearing paths through a soft fruit bed. Good gardening weather - as long as you kept moving!
