I need to gloss paint my new kitchen Windows but as I have to leave them open to let them dry I don't think that's going to happen any time soon.

I've been using the old rotten floorboards as firewood to keep me warm in the lounge but I've used all the shortest bits so I now need to go out and cut the long bits up. I keep putting it off cos it's so cold. It would help with this weeks task of clearing the patio. At least I can now wear my wellies without the nightmare task of getting them off again. I bought myself a boot jack, absolutely wonderful!

Morning all, well still morning just. We have snow only a slight dusting but it isn't shifting. Weatherman says we will be having a cracking frost tonight as well.

I now have a full blown streaming cold - I haven't had one of these for years On a happier note, I am wearing a bright red PJ top emblazoned with the words "Let it Snow" I wouldn't dare to tempt fate by wearing it at any time other than when I have a long weekend! By gum it's cowd artside.

Engine management light on car came on this morning though. Car was hottering when started and when I plugged my cheapie diagnostic hoogie in later, it came up with a code 300 fault. Multiple misfire. I could have told it that !! ANyway, I was ableto clear the fault code so hopefully it won't recur.

Tried to buy some brake disk pads when out. There was a page of options. I'mgoing to have to take the old pads out and take them to the auto shop to identify what ones are needed. Did I say there is a page of options? How can I take them out and still get there

P0300 can be a bugger to identify due to so many possible causes, many of which will not be obvious, low fuel pressure (when was your fuel filter last replaced ?), vacuum leak (check for cracks in the rubber tubes including at the ends), are two likely causes.
Same error code on herselfs car turned out to be excessive carbon buildup in the catalytic converter.

Brake pads, easiest way is to take a pad out & draw around it (also make a note of any wires), take the paper to the motor factors & they will compare it to the drawings in their brake catalogue.
