  • ^^ ok, where did the word great come from? I have a new tablet and it inserts random spellings and now words!
When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it.
If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.

    • We need to get cardboard down before more weeds grow.
We've saved loads of boxes from unpacking our kitchen. Just need to get out there and do it!

I'd also like to get up some of the leeks for freezing.
We grew a lot last year and they are doing us proud!

And then of course the flower beds.......at least we have some pretty daffs up!

        • We tried leeks last year and they are looking a bit small and pathetic. We will still use them though. We have a very small north facing plot so experiment quite a lot to see what and where we can grow different crops.Beans, garlic, Kale and cabbage grow anywhere for us but the rest can be a bit "meh", we don't even get many weeds other than creeping clover from our two neighbours.

                • Morning. Cold and damp here again.
Going to see my mom and dad this afternoon. So planning to call in to allotment and see how many weeds have appeared. I have been told there are shed loads now so going to tell them to lap it up while they can because their day days are numbered
Had another broken night with Will. He was stirring a lot which meant I woke up and went in to check on him. Makes a change him snoring his head off usually he is laughing in his sleep
                  Have a good day everyone

                        • Morning All. Not very sunshiny here but the rain's stopped and that's a positive.
If you don't mind, I'll pass on the frock, the full English and the Tea. Can't remember the last time I came into contact with any of them I'll be doing coffee (instant) and toast oozing with butter - and a few bowls of dog food! Your choice
                          Have a "great" day!!
