Pretty calm with weak sun here in Northumberland this morning. I'm just off to the shops for a couple of essentials (loo roll, cat food and milk) and then off up to the allotment to make a start on potting up some onion sets in modules as the ground is still too cold and wet....and I ain't worked out where the onion bed is going to be yet!
Jarred the marmalade, 29 orange, 10 lemons and 1 bag of sugar, might make more but cannot see us eating all of this. More than 3kgs of jam, will give my friends some as they gave me the oranges
Evening all...
I'm at very little today...miserable out...
I am still recuperating after the wedding on Friday..twas a very late one...
Therefore yesterday was also a write-off
I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....

Its allowed Trip. Life is not just about work, you also need to have some enjoyment as well.
Anyway, I am sure you will catch up.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.
Evening it ended up raining all day here not that it mattered we spent the afternoon at daughters house nattering and drinking tea, plus laughing at what their house rabbit gets up to.
Don't feel sorry for Trip, Bramble Serve him right, that's what I say!!
Did you enjoy it while you were sober, Trip? That's the main thing
PS, Any wine left?
Your're right V.C. I was just caught at a weak moment there.
Trip, you need to get your act together, and no more slacking.
Time is passing and theres plenty to be done.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.
Went out to do some shopping grocery wise, and my son turned up to install the new washing machine while I was out. I got back to a very grumpy son as his fiance had somehow managed to trap his hand in the fridge door (don't ask). I had to put up with about of an hour of how I get everything wrong before he calmed down. After this we had a very pleasant drink in the local before they both went off to a friends for lunch.
I then went hunting for food and had a very nice but overdone steak in a local pub.

Actually I'm adding to my last post. I need juniper berries for a recipe I'm cooking. I did have them but had to chuck them when the roof of my old kitchen collapsed. I went into my local T@sc0 and couldn't find them. After searching for some time I ended up at the service desk. One person looked on their computer and confirmed that they'd never stocked them but the giggle was the one that went and asked the people on the fruit and veg dept. Her face was a picture when I explained that were classed as a spice/herb.
What I found interesting is that they have harissa paste which as a cook I have never heard of until recently but no juniper berries which have been popular in cooking for several decades.
