  • Good morni g all. A very dull grey day here.
Well a nice change to the routine, and the painting. My daughter and I are off to the country for 24 hoursz of leisure and pampering. A treat for her birthday. Looking forward to spending some quality time together as she has been so busy of late.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

          • Morning all, the sun is trying to peep through, and I think it might make it.
            Not doing much today.
went to see Lady in the Van last night with work pals. Couldn't see what all the fuss was about, great acting, but slow storyline.
Dropped my jelly babies all over the floor, so settled for throat pastilles instead.
Yes, I have got a cough. A tickly, dry one at that.
First one since I gave up the dreaded weed four years ago.
Have a great day everyone, I am staying under my throw, watching tv

            • 3rd one for me Bren!

I'm just keeping out of the way...OH had to 'do' our young cockerel this morning as he was getting too boisterous with the gals and our 2nd cockerel was scared of him.
              Just a matter of time.
Sad really, he was a stunner but we couldn't rehome him.....

More domestic stuff again for me today.
I did however start making a few Easter decorations yesterday
I bought some lovely yellow felt on Saturday and couldn't resist having a play!

              • Brake job completed in a fraction of the time it took to do the other side yesterday. How does that happen. I know I effectively had a practice yesterday but the car simply would not co-operate and today everything just lined up.

                Ah well.

Really sorry to read about Lumpy's doggie.

                • Good afternoon.

It's cold here but no snow and no ice. I've finished work and OH is working tonight, so nice chilled night for me.

Think I may go and look threw my seeds once the OH has gone to work and see what I can sow at the weekend.

                  • Trying to have five quiet minutes, but why does everyone come In hungry? Haven't given tea as much as a thought, but will now have to stop reading 70 pages of chat that I've missed to feed people!

                    • Good morn/aft/evening
I was so eager to go out and play in the sunshine in my "new" garden that I didn't check in here earlier. Its been the best day of the year - cold, but dry and sunshiny and there's a lot more of that sunshiny stuff in the garden since the Tree men did their "pruning". Happy Days
Hope you've all had a good day, although I know Lumpy hasn't (((Big hugs ))) Truly sorry.

It is heart renching I must admit! Having lost my beloved friend "Rigsby" last year!

                              • Evening all, over done it a little today but have got a lot done, still have yet to plant up the other tomato seeds, really must get that done. I feel so stiff now, and my back is killing me. Going to open a bottle of red with dinner and that should help

My closest Spanish friend owns the land next to us and i believe he is probably the nicest man on this planet, nothing is ever too much for him and he goes out of his way for everybody.
Well he is quite traditional and loves the fact that i grow my own but he does not have the time to do his own so i grow a fair bit for him and it makes him so happy. Tonight i gave him a massive bag of mixed leaves, rocket, spinach, mustard, mizuna, oriental levels etc etc, he gets so confused and does not quite understand, he think lettuce for a salad should just be a whole lettuce like an iceberg but he is going to try it. I do find it quite funny

Have a lovely night and hope you are all wrapped up nice and warm
