Afternoon all, sun is out hooray. Quite warm on our patio
Cooking my yellow stickered roast pork early, before we go to our daughters later this afternoon.
Taking her a pork crusty roll to try and tempt her to eat. She's really down at the moment.
Hope you are all enjoying your Sunday
Afternoon all.
Our allotments have been broken into overnight. The locks on one of my sheds had been smashed off - luckily that shed was empty. I make it very difficult to access the other shed (which I keep my tools in) and they obviously thought it wasn't worth the hassle.
Other plotholders haven't been so lucky though - a total haul (that we know of so far) was 3 rotavators, 2 generators, 6 gas bottles and a first aid box.
What do you get if you divide the circumference of a pumpkin by its diameter?
Pumpkin pi.
Been a busy day chez moi today. Finished painting the facia boards under the gutters at the back of the house. Seems to have been a job of epic proportions but it's the weather that has made it a long un.
Scrubbed the green mould.algae off the brickwork at ground level. Unfortunately, the brickwork was painted by a previous owner and that is now in a sorry state so will have to be redone .
We have a breeze block wall all around the back yard which requires painting every couple of years or so. Made a start to that as well. Hoping the rain keeps off so my everythings are crossed.
Evening All I didn't eat the Full English, I just cook it and do the washing up! It's been a mild day here too, but no sun A second cousin has been researching the family tree and has sent me a photograph of my grandmother and great-grandmother. They both died before I was born and I don't remember my mother having any photographs, so it was lovely to see. I can't see any resemblance, but I know I resemble my paternal side of the family. He's also sent a link to me to see the tree, so that will take up a bit of time tomorrow because I'm not at work. Unless, of course, I get visitors
Oh no! Total gits to do that at the lottie, Skeggijon!! I really hope the first aid kit was needed by them... grrrrrr.
When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it.
If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.
