  • Morning all. Blowing a gale here. Local weather says we could have gusts up to 50mph but calming down as the day goes on.
Went to allotment yesterday. A seed swap sign has been put up and there does seem to be a bit of interest in the idea.
Think it is a stop indoor day today.
    Have a good day everyone

        • anyone thinking I'm lazing about watching tennis, I'm just catching snippets. Gas meter box taken off wall, sanded down and undercoated. If I can't get a suitable replacement, it's a make do or mend job . Also been sanding flaking masonry paint off the front door surrounds. Windy and it's blowing in my eyes and in my hair so a real pain but needs must. I'll maybe get that repainted later, depends on whatthe weather does.

            • Morning all, wow was woken at 6.30 with the worst rain and wind I've ever known. It actually sounded like a tornado had hit...not that I know what a tornado sounds like you understand! The rain was actually horizontal. It lasted about half an hour and you could actually hear the wind moving away and playing out in the distance! It's still blowing a hoolie at the moment but nothing like it was earlier. Thought the back windows were going to be blown in. Wheelie bins all over the place but no damage as far as I can see. You've guessed it...OH and dogs slept through the whole thing!
As I type this it has gone eerily quiet outside, no wind or rain...what's that all about?
Stay safe everyone and have a great day!

              • Good afternoon

Not sure what it is like out today, not opened my curtains. I am just going to have a nice quiet weekend, don't think the OH want's to go anywhere. Can't wait to start my induction on Monday. I just hope there is some work going once I've done my 2 day induction.

                Have a good day

                  • Early Evening All

Had a bit of a look around Milton Keynes today, correction got dragged around Milton Keynes today!

I now understand why the shopping centre is so big, they have multiples of everything, with that in mind why did the OH think that it was worth looking in 3 different B00ts

Was nice to settle in my armchair when we got home......

Enjoy the rest of your day peeps

Evening All. Had a boring day in as the weather has been so wet and windy. At least I don't have to worry about the ash tree falling on the house anymore
Have a happy Friday evening, everyone

                        • I've just had a phone call out of the blue from someone who asked me out years ago. I was with my late OH at the time and thanked him kindly but no thanks.

I've now been a widow for over 10 years so have asked him to let me think about it and ring me back another day.

I didn't think I'd ever be interested in anyone ever again but I am thinking about it. I miss out on so many things because I won't go on my own.

Are we the only supporters of Darby County.
Me, I just got sucked in as OH has lots of cousins there.
