It's Sunday!!!!

Had a brill night out last night...fantastic live jazz and some incredibly funny singers ( one of whom I know!)
I could get used to this going out in the evening lark....
Oh....I'm out again tonight at the piccies!

Hoping to get the trees planted today. It's supposed to be less rainy today.
What's everyone else up to on this last Sunday in January....yes I know....it's February tomorrow!

I don't do violence but I like Tarantino's style...so I'll probably spend half the time with my eyes closed
OH sits through 'stuff' I prefer .....so ...once in a while eh?

I'm so jealous! You will have to let me know what it like. That is one film I would really like to see. I love violent movies . Tarantino's mind, does seem to work in mysterious ways. I like it. ( but I would hate to be his shrink! ). I can highly recommend Django.

Yep....it's an incredible film...we saw it a couple of years ago.
Very thought provoking.

We're really lucky that most of the local cinemas do one or two showings of films in their original versions...ie English/ Italian/ German ...whatever language they were originally filmed in.
Lots of English/American ones of course!

I think they must get subsidies as they are very seldom more than 1/4 full.
Even the staff are volunteers!

£4 per person...not bad eh?

Morning all, at least we are still dry.
It's potato chitting day today, hubby has made room in the ultra cool porch for them to live.
Thinking of doing a small bag of first earlies to yo yo in and out of the garage.
Actually, it's come to the 'lots of thinking' time garden wise, lovely isnt it?

Lovely day here very still and sunny, i have got some baby onions to plant out and should have done it weeks ago, very naughty me!

We have cinema´s here as well Nico´s that do original versions, and we go all the time, been many times when we are the only ones!!! we have also just joined one of them and on wednesday´s get to go for only 3.50e every other day 5e, i remember paying nearly 10pounds in the UK!!!! I have seen the hateful 8, it was great, typical Quentin, you should love it

Looking forward to breakfast this morning spread some of my marmalade on the toast.

Same here NS...just started drizzling as we were talking about a slight change in positioning of the final positioning of the new trees.

Going to be a bit of a muddy job, but it looks like the ground isn't too soggy just there.
Hope it's not a layer of soil over enormous boulders!

Our friends were given about 10 fruit trees as retirement pressies for an area of field/ grass near their house. Wonderful idea as the rest of the area isn't really suitable.
When they came to dig out the holes , they hit solid rock about 2 ft down.
Nope not bedrock but huuuuge boulders...each one about 20 feet or more across

The area is strewn with glacial boulders dropped about 40,000 yrs ago .
Ever so pretty but a flipping pain when it comes to digging holes!

"Good Morning" All!

Well miserable and wet yet again!

Still undecided what today will bring, need to take the kitchen scraps down to the compost bin, well that will kill half an hour, then maybe pot washing, then again maybe not! I really, really hate that job.

But "Needs Must" I suppose!

Well it's thrashing it down here .... again! I am now officially fed up with the weather. Yesterday the wind was so chilly I did not want to work outside and today it is far too wet. However, I have just ordered some plug plants for hanging baskets, so it feels a bit more like the gardening season is starting. FiL is coming for lunch today and then I am going to the cinema at 'tea-time' to see The Big Short. Have a good day everyone - hope it isn't raining where you are.
