Today is not proving to be a very happy Friday for me Exhaust blew on way to work, headed home, called breakdown service, taxi to work. Himself phoned me at half eight, shower has "exploded", bathroom flooded, emergency plumber called, taxi home.
Could have been worse - I was in the shower at half five, would have scared me to death.
Could have been unable to drive car home.
Always look on the bright side of life (whistle whistle)

BB never has me on Cheeky Chicky he knows how naïve I am Another one with the Spoiler Alert - my Postman hasn't arrived yet. Payday feels like a long time away from the last one and a lifetime away from the next. It's no wonder I can't retire.

The emergency plumber arranged by Himself (for a change) at 8.00 a.m. (just before he was about to leave to get the exhaust fixed), has been cancelled. The company phoned twice to delay it and the final time given to us was between 4 and 6. Son told us to isolate the shower (apparently there's a switch in the airing cupboard) and he'll have a look at it tomorrow. Himself was so angry that the nuisance phone caller this afternoon really got it in the neck. (It was very funny but I couldn't let him see me laughing). I keep telling him to calm down dear. If he had set off with the car this morning, the kitchen ceiling would have come down and there would have been a lot more damage. My glass is always half full - in more ways than one

Better go and put the gazillion towels he's used in the washing machine and remind him where the mop bucket lives. Mind you, he's never used it before, so I don't know why I expected him to use it today.
