No but I am still a person and entitled to be treated the same as everyone else. If there are OAP rates why not tell both of us instead of telling DIL in secret? Actually, on the next table to ours there were 2 disabled people in wheelchairs together with their carers. The 2 disabled people were also special needs. I am glad to see that they were treated with respect (different waiter) and also that they were being treated to a meal out.

Thanks for all your kind thoughts. Mum was poorly but we thought we might have a bit longer with her. To top it all arguing about her will, which is slightly controversial, started less than 24 hours after she died. What is it about money that turns people.
We must be about the only area without the rain, although it is very windy.

There is another side to this coin Janie, I was at both RAF Duxford & the Motorcycle Show in the last few month's, neither offered me a senior rate but gave it to me after I asked "is there an old git's rate", both offered the same reason for not offering it, in the past some people had taken exception because A) the looked older than they actually were B) I might be old but I don't need charity/I might be old but I like to pay my way. Possibly the waitress was trying to be kind ?

Good afternoon Folks, its a right dreigh day here today, had been over a Largs this morning, where its cold and wet, now back home and I will be going out to the greenhouse to sow some flower seeds, I think its too early for veg. yet, in this area anyway, so off to light my fire (and not as the song, babes no talking, she says I keep her awake with MY SNORING) in the greenhouse. Oh Wendy, how awful for you. Thankfully we didnt have any trouble when my dear mother passed last July.
