  • Well.

You lot should be proud of me!
I just spent 2 hrs mowing the lawn's which are in the sun.
Kept blocking, but have managed 1/2 the lawns and ran out of petrol thank goodness.
Tis flipping hot out there when you work as hard as that!
Hope to do more later when oh brings back petrol and the grass is dryer.

There are still piles of hailstones in the shade!

Mad...utterly mad I must be *sigh
Thing is, after today we gave rain and snow forecast for the next week. The field is almost 1 ft deep with cow pasture grass already.
    Yup...we need sheep.

    • Managed to limp into work and stagger about aimlessly with a very severe dose of man influenza..
Good job I did, because a local free range egg farmer brough us in a couple of hundred eggs, hence the question... What's wrong with these eggs

        • Absolutely ludacris!
To be fair he had over 36000 'good eggs' today
And a few hundred 'bad eggs'.
Too big, too small, shells too thin, shells too thick.. madness.

            Don't you need cows?

Evening all. It been a luvly day and I've been hacking back the jostaberries, helped by the puppies and the chooks. I keep a plastic tub of corn for the chooks, a little shake and they'll come running from wherever they are. Ted ran off with the tub, and, as he ran, it rattled, so the chooks thought he had food for them, and chased him. When he put the tub down, they lost interest and wandered off again, Ted, breathing a sigh of relief that they'd left him alone. Of course, as soon as he picked it up again, it rattled and he was mobbed again. He couldn't work out why this was happening - but it was really funny to watch.

Cptn, Eggs is eggs whatever their size or shape. Omelettes for tea perhaps?

                • Evening all. Very cold here again. Think it's going to be another frost night. Had a call off my mom today to tell me that the Jerusalem Artichokes they were storing for me have started to dry out. So I'll have to go over on Friday and see how bad they are. Hope they haven't dried up to much and they have survived.
Hope to have a lie in tomorrow if the kids will sleep in that is.
                  Have a good evening everyone

                            • Sad to hear about Alfie, Jay, but remember the fun and pleasure you and the family had with him.
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.
