Good evening folks, the day started bad and the deteriorated, now its cold, heavy rain and strong winds, managed to get some wood cut between showers this morning also some pipes cut and in position for making a cover of enviromesh over my biggest raised bed, now wondering how to keep the mesh in position, and still get access to the soil when required. Had intended doing some work in the greenhouse but with high winds that is out, so now going to hunt through the Vine for inspiration for fixing the mesh, I wish You all a good night and AP, slow down a bit if my wife read your posts I could lead to some questions being asked. Goodnightit may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

Oh Jay, I am so very sorry to hear your sad news. I am sure you must be devastated. So very sad when you loose a pet but I am sure you wouldnt want him to go on suffering.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Oh dear. I am so sorry to read the sad news about Alfie. It is very difficult to say goodbye to a cherished pet even when it is somewhat expected. Hopefully you can take comfort from the happy memories you shared and focus more on those as time goes on.LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

Sorry to hear your news Jay.
There's very few comforting words, I'm sure.. but you have memories, forever!
Good morning peeps, I'm not really sure what happened last night, took a couple of decongestants about 6.30pm..sure they're meant to be non drowsy!?
Sooo bunged up, and need to clear it before I get sinusitis or ear infections..
At least those eggs won't go to waste, I dint know a great deal about chickens or eggs but he told us once that when they first start laying pretty much every egg is a double yolker.. and the supermarket refuse these.. come on!!
Cracking a double yolker is like three numbers on the lottery.
Last summer we gathered onions the size of grapefruits and bigger from a field near my dad's, because these were too big to go to the supermarket.. I discovered a device that allows this fine food to not go to waste.. I call it.. the knife!
No more ranting.. have a good day everyone, we're due snow but not enough for a man!<*}}}>< Jonathan ><{{{*>

Morning all, chilly out.
Was supposed to 'wake up to the aroma of baking bread'
I obviously got the timing wrong cause I woke up to a stone cold loaf.
Must read instructions more carefully. Nothing lost
The GG stayed over, didn't stop talking till half eleven and then hogged the bed all night.
I'm on vine and she's laying in!
We were going to make pizzas today, but hubby has talked me out of it, it's now roast chicken.
Have a lovely day peeps, my ears will be well and truly bashed today, just as I like itNannys make memories
