  • Good morning all. Last day of our holiday and we wake up to rain and totally grey skies. Not the ideal way to end a holiday but we cant complain as we have had plenty of sunshine.
We will spend the morning packing and then see what the afternoon brings.
Hate going through all the rigmarole in the airport but needs must.
    Have a good day all.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

    • Yey!...2 cottage pies in the oven .
Both for the freezer I think.

It's really hard not having a local takeaway ( although healthier!!! ) for the times when you are too knackered to be bothered cooking ..so always handy having a yummy, instant comfort food ready to tuck into !

Think it's biscuit baking time now.
Me thinks I'm on a roll!

              • The trouble with Cottage Pie for lunch is that for the rest of the afternoon you feel all content and not a bit productive! Good job I didn't have it for breakfast
It's bloomin' cold out there, glad I'm in here

Would that be a 'kid on' pensioner at 60, a proper but still 'youngish' pensioner at 65 or a Government new ruling type of pensioner at 98 or something.
.......because you're thinking of putting the kettle on and making a pot of tea perhaps, you old weirdo. (Veggie Chicken - 25/01/18)

Congrats Flo Under the 'old rules' I would be one already but now its 66 for me but that's still younger than its going to be for future generations.

                        • Evening peeps. I was always told that you should never be bored as you should be resourceful enough to entertain yourself.

Well, that notwithstanding, I am afraid that I am still sat at my desk working and I am BORED. Bored, bored, bored. Booooooooooooooooooooored.

I have an email proposal to finish and send; another one to complete (which needs my finest words crafting into silky persuasiveness to get the customer to place an order for our fine wares); and finally, an email forwarding some pics and schedules to another customer.

Can't go and play with wine-bottling (squash and - uh - blueberry. you use what you have) until I've finished.

                          'snot fair. bored.

                          • Still bored.

Two emails down, one to go - this one should be quicker. Possibly.

Can then bottle (and sample ) the wine.

                              • Past the 'kid on' pensioner Kevin, always very "proper" and not made the 65 yet (though still feel youngish and work full time) and the Government new ruling type of pensioner starts life after April 2016. I hasten to add that makes me nowhere near 98, but I'd be happy to make it to that
