    • ^^^^^.... But soooo pretty!
We have sparkly frost here still...but it's melting in the sun.
Hibou has been outside, had a run around and nipped back for her breakfast. Perfect timing for us to go out now!
She caught a cold in the back field yesterday and trotted up to the house and gave it to us as a treat! Mmmmm....
And then promptly ate it. Yuk...but....she actually managed to eat it despite the huge swelling in the roof of her mouth. We have been worried incase she tried to eat like she used to and then choke...but nope, she's coping OK.
...here's one slightly less worried mommy.

      • Morning all. Back home to the cold weather after a great holiday. Not a bad morning, its bright and dry. First job, unpack and get the washing machine going then do a grocery shop and get back on track.
        Have a good day all.

The skies are coming over very dark so have brought in enough wood for about a week!!! tea tie now i bet it won´t rain now. Lisa is rain dancing around the house.

                • started off really frosty this morning but nice n dry. Hot footed it over to the timber merchants where I bought 18 slats to repair partition and gate at side of house. I'd phone earlier and was quoted £2 per slat + vat so total £43.20.

When there the guy who sourced my timber asked if it was cash or account. Was paying cash but at desk, asked if I would get discount if I opened an account.

Was told "och aye, 10% but I'll gie ye that onywye". Fine n dandy so I expected to pay £43.20 -£4.32 =£38.88.

                  Was actually charged £28.08.

                  Fine n dandier .

Home I went, re-engineered framing and replaced rotten bits and then fitted new slats but drat, the rain came on.

I've presentlyu got a carful of old wood but I'll get shot of that after the rain goes off, that's if it goes off

                    • It's cold, it's lashing down ( has been all day) and it's windy! Done a few odd jobs around the house. Had a nice long chat with my tomato & chilli seedlings.

                      • OK well my friend has been over and brought me some pepper seeds. Wow there must be 1000's in there. He wants about 30-50 plants so looks like I am growing more pepper plants

Would anybody like some family saved traditional Spanish pepper for raw eating or drying....

                        • Evening all. Finally got on line. Been busy today cleaning as my sister is visiting tomorrow. So I am going to have to move my potatoes that are chitting in the bathroom as my sister thinks the eyes are watching her.
So the kids have been bathed ready for both the visit tomorrow. Then its Wills birthday on Monday so we are going to my mom and dads on Sunday for party tea. So a fun filled weekend.
Oh need to plant some seeds to keep me on track with VCs seed challenge.
                          Have a good evening everyone

Do I have to say it?
                            OK then....

Fire lit, nice and cosy, kids snuggling up watching a movie with some goodies...
                            Some red good stuff too

                              • Nope...not a sausage Hazel.
                                Even just now.
We're hoping she's accidentally got locked in somewhere but we only have one neighbour at the moment as the other is on holiday.
                                Otherwise .......
She has been known to ignore us if she wants to stay out, and I couldn't blame her after being indoors for so long.
But...she's only got a summer coat....her eye must be really sore by now if exposed to all this cold and wind ....she's not now had her medication ...
Our last cat went out and never came back.
Yep...I knew I was very concerned about her coping , which is why I mentioned our reluctance to let her out the other day.
                                Will keep you updated.
                                Thanks for asking x
