Tires me out just thinking about it.

            • Fool filling more like it. Just carried a 2.5ltre tin of paint through the kitchen, along the lounge, through the front hall and up the stairs. Paint spilling all the way . Kitchen laminate flooring so not too much of a problem there. Lounge laminate(never again but a blessing this time) but with a large rug . Thankfully with a pot scrubber and plenty white spirit that seems to be ok. phew!!. Front hall where we have a new mat that cost a tenner but thankfully that has come right with white soirit as well. Stair thankfully is just flooreboards at the moment painted. we'll put down a new carpet just before we put the house on the market but I managed to get paint inside one of my favourite boots and on my work cardigan.

All in all not too bad except for the smell of white spirit.

Not a good day though. Better half's car costing over £850 for its mot and a service. Brake discs and shoes and a caliper. A couple of rubber boots split, track rod ends and on it goes till we get to the nearside tail lamp bulb she forget to tell the garage about. Only mentioned the really big stuff but it needs doing .

Right, paint to get out of the coco matting at the front door. I may just buy a new bit. Should maybe have taken this to the rant thread but I'm not ranting. Just sharing the load

My day has been simply glorious - pootling about in the spring sunshine, doing a little bit of this and a little bit of that. Love days like this

                • good evening Folks, it has been a lovely day here today cold but bright, finished putting my bulbs in, daffs. tulips and hyacinths, will post photos when up, have also sowen some broad beans, and planted garlic that I had put into pots several weeks ago to avoid them rotting with all the rain, also collected some soil from moudy hills (mole hills) I will sterilize this and mix it in with compost for potting on and I will mix some with course sand for sowing seeds, looks like its going to be a cold night so will light the fire in the greenhouse and head out there after tea. Well I wish you all a pleasant evening, off to get my tea then slip out to the GH. need to avoid dish washing just incase I cut my hand, after Flo`s new classification of this dangerous procedure, by the way Flo this like painting should be avoided when ever possible.
