Oh i feel so nervous i am on a end of a phone at a property auction today, i have been before but never have bidded before and there are 3 different ones to bid on argggg, roll on 7pm your time, lets get on with it.

Morning All Very wild and blustery and not at all sunshiny today.
I'm taking my Mum to have her claws clipped later so I hope the wind abates - otherwise she, and her 3 wheeled walker, may be blown along the pavement and I'll never catch her.
Good luck with the auction Lisa - sounds fascinating and nerve wracking!

Snowing here. I've been awake since 4.30am. Tried coming on here about 5am, but only got as far as looking on chat thread and then it stopped working.

Good morni g all. Beautifl sunny morning here but the forecast is telling us we are in for all kind of wintery weather. It doesnt look like that now but we will wait and see.
Off to have my hair done this morni g and hopefully I can get something done in the garden later.

Cold and blustery so far....

My oh just rang to say that a courier dropped in a "large" box for me...
"Wonder what that could be?", she says knowing well it's probably gardening stuff............
Quick as a flash, I replied, "Well, it isn't a Mother's Day present anyway"
I may have treated myself to a large propagator with lights for growing on

Thought it had been a long morning so stopped for lunch. 2.00pm so must have been enjoying myself. Leftover curry and rice. Yummy .

had an interesting morning. Decided to tackle the horrible crack across the kitchen ceiling. Only 9ft so not huge but an annoyance and not what a potential buyer will want to see. I gouged out a 2½"channel about ¼" deep
and then bedded some fiba tape in plaster.. Still to top and level it off and then play at imitating artex but hopefully a long standing issue will be gone. Problem stems from plasterboard being joined between two joists instead of on a joist. Pain in't bum.

Anyway, a five foot length of skirting to get a top coat of paint and that will be that for today.

Had hoped to get out to the garden for some me time but it is now snowing. Ah well. Best laid plans etc.

Good evening,

Been busy this morning finishing off my MIL mother's day gift. Need to do my mum's before mother's day. And then I have been doing the laundry(Never realised how much washing there is to do after a week, I normally do it every few days)

I am off to slimming world tonight to be weighed, hope I've lost this week. I've been really good and stayed away from take aways and chocolate.
Need to prepare half the tea before I go out. Wont be back until just after 9pm. So just need something I can warm up before I go to bed. Up early for work tomorrow so don't want to be up late tonight.

Stopped snowing here, raining now. Although the sun did come out for a little while before.

Evening All. Wonder how Lisa's auction ended up?

We were called to the hospital early this morning as FIL had a seizure. Scan revealed a bleed with significant swelling on the brain Touch and go for a while, but he's rallied, sitting up and has eaten a little something at teatime I was most annoyed (will pop over to rant thread). It's just a waiting game again now.
