Morning GL'n'all from a cold but dry Nestland. I've got a mountain of chippings that need moving so will most likely try & make a dent in it. Happy weekend to all you workers.

Morning everyone There was a flurry of excitement from my daughter this morning when she saw big snowflakes coming down but it didn't last long and now we've got rain!
Busy weekend, family coming. And I get to cook myself and everyone else a big dinner for Mother's Day tomorrow - yippee! My consolation prize is a nice big bottle of wine that I shall open and start drinking as stand over the oven, ha ha.LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

Morning all
It's a lovely day out there at the moment. Long list of jobs today. Shower the dog, make beer, weigh the turkeys (so I know how much wormer to give them). Fix things. A small miracle has happened! Other half has offered to clean the outside windows!!!!
See you all later have a good day.

Morning everyone, I got up to the smell of freshly baked bread.
That means that at the second attempt, I successfully put the Breadmaker on timer correctly.
Boiled egg and wholemeal bread for breakfast, yummy
Work this afternoon, so no worries that it will be raining later
Have a great day folksNannys make memories

Mornin n'all
We have enough blue in the sky to make a sailor's shirt today .
Where on earth did that saying come from?
I was given a pile of manky plants from a garden centre yesterday for our seed and plant swap.
With a bot of attention...cutting back....chucking out and saving the seeds and empty pots great use can be made of them!
I'm really chuffed at their generosity...manky maybe....but the vast majority, with a bit of love and attention, will certainly pick up and thrive later on in the year.
It's just having the time and inclination isn't it?
So today and tomorrow will no doubt be spent beautifying ,seed saving or reusing the pots for potting on.

Morning all. Having a tidying up morning. My aunty, her daughter and grand daughter are visiting my mom and dad so we are going over this afternoon to see them.
Got a letter from the DVLA today. For one heart stopping moment I thought I had been caught speeding somewhere. Not that I speed or anything like that, I am a good responsible driver . Anyway it wasn't they just want me to renew my drivers licence. That means I am going to have to have a goofy picture taken and pay £14.50 for it .
Still trying to sort my job application form out. That's another job to get sorted this weekend.
Anyway have a good day everyonesigpic

Good morning all. We have a late start this morning as we were out on the town last night. Out for posh dinner and then some drinks afterwards as we were celebrating our friends 50th wedding snniversary.
Now however we need to go to Ikea.
We could have saved ourselves a trip if we had the measurements with us when we were there on Thursday but at least we know what we are going for, so it shouldnt take long.
Hopefully after that I can get on with gardening related stuff.
Have a good day all.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Morning folks! Lovely sunshine out there, but the wind is v sharp.
Club time trials this morning. It's a hilly 5k course so I had no thoughts of a particularly fast time, and was just using the session as a training run (racing next weekend). Annoyingly, I came in within 3 secs of my best time - if I'd have known how well it was going, I would have given it a bit on the last stretch. Oh well.
Time to get on with the housework now...

Just popping by to show you what I bought today
Edit* just realised you can't see what it is other than horsetail! It's teaAttached FilesLast edited by KittyColdNose; 05-03-2016, 01:10 PM.When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it.
If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.

MORNING ALL says he loudly at almost 3.00pm.
Nope not just up. got up really early and went to to an auction sale of used horticultural machinery and equipment. Really need to upgrade my strimmer and blower.. Anyway, waste of my time completely. Stuff making really silly money. Bid beyond my self imposed limit by some way on several items and still nowhere near end result. Came home, changed, did a bit more stippling and swirling and then fell asleep.
Bleeding cold innit
