Just back in with the dogs, bloomin freezing.
On a funny note, Moo caught sight of her shadow at the other side of the stream and must have thought it was another dog because she got all giddy and bouncy. Her eyesight isn't as good asbit ince was.When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it.
If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.Comment

Was planning on digging/sowing after my morning shift, but after a tasty pub lunch, the iPad and sofa won!

Got most of the jobs done. Do the last few tomorrow. My new coat arrived today I'm going to look very smart ( for me 
) walking around the EGS.
It's been a beautiful day here but f f f freezing, and 10 minutes ago stuff started falling from the sky.Comment

Its been nippy but nice today. Perfect for trundling wheelbarrows around.
Luvly to see the garden greening up ready for spring. Two peach trees are in flower as is the experimental Bijou mangetout in the GH. Lots of daffs for the puppies to charge through, leaving a trail of broken stems, for the "floral arrangement" in the hall.
Hope you've all had a good day. Three weeks tonight the clocks go forward

Evening all...
Got a few jobs done today...
Still trying to clear out the garage,but am getting there slowly but surely..
Still have loads of timber to chop up and will burn it in a new wood burner we hope to get...
Did some potting on and rearranged a few plants under the growlight...
My first experience of using one and it seems the chilli plants are thriving under it...
I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....

Yup happy Mother's Day/ Mothering Sunday to all those concerned!
Hopefully today is the first Vide Grenier ( car boot sale) visit of the year...tis beautifully sunny and frosty so I'm glad I'll only be looking.
We have 3 peeps coming over this evening to eat with us....so this mommy shall mostly be catering for 3 blokes and a step mommy

Frosty start here, should brighten up later. Hope so, I have laundry to do.
It's five years today that my lovely Dad lost is battle with Motor Neurone Disease.
You lot would have liked him. He was a jack of all trades with a wicked sense of humour.
Anyway, we are having a late lunch out, which I am looking forward to. Definately got the GG coming, but don't know about our lesser spotted Grandson. He started work in a restaurant yesterday and may be working today
If he does eat with us, imagine having dinner with Will.i.am, cause that's what its like lol

Well, the intention is always only to look NS...but I can never resist a bargain
One of the reasons for going is to try and make contact with a bloke there who sells Marans eggs.
We bought 4 fertile ones from him last year. 2 hatched but only one was a lass.
We went back to get more eggs but he was never there so we're a bit worried if something has happened to him.
He gave us his phone number, but it's never picked up.
Beautifully dark eggs...our one successful hatch has just started laying!

Morning all - when I opened the curtains this morning it was snowing. Big flakes! But it has now stopped and the sky has cleared a bit. The snow on the road and drive has already gone. However, it has scuppered my plans to go to the plot this morning, after yesterday's rain it is going to be far too wet .... again. I maybe reduced to doing some sanding down, in the downstairs loo
Anyway, seeing my sons later so that will be nice. And I have two days off from child-minding this week, elder son and family are off to Centre Pa*** for a few days. I have already planned activities for tomorrow morning - having the stone chip in my car windscreen repaired. I have such an exciting life
If Mothers' Day applies to you, hope it is a nice one. And if it doesn't - well enjoy your Sunday. I can still remember when Sunday really was a day of rest - there wasn't any choice!Comment
