              • Morning all. Grey and overcast here today and rain is forecast later. The windscreen was repaired yesterday although the 'time window' (no pun intended) that Autog***s gave me was aspirational rather than accurate. (Vented my spleen with an email to said firm, exhorting them to be honest - what we know we can deal with.) But I still managed to get a couple of hours down the plot, I planted some more seeds, finished reading my novel and did a few domestic tasks. Just did not feel very satisfactory for a day off.

However, today will be better Off to get a leg in a pant and make a serious start. Enjoy yourselves whatever you are doing.

                        • Morning all. Finally got on line today. Went to allotment yesterday to do some digging. My back and knee hate me this morning.
Also finally finished off my job application form. Took ages and it one of the most simple ones I have filled out for some time. I hate having to discuss why I am awesome and why they should employ me.
Just having a day of tidying up as it looks as if the kids have trashed their bedroom. The stuff I have asked them to put away seems to of found a home under their beds.
Anyway have a good day everyone

                            • Mafternoon all and congrats BB .

I've been busy bee-ing and should get loads of brownie points when she who must be obeyed gets home.

Bathroom light fitting taken to bits and polished up and re-assembled. Isn't it amazing how heat causes muck? Ceiling in there painted as well so that's an achieve in itself. Kitchen ceiling painted as well so that finishes off the job of repairing the crack there. Dare I hope for more brownie points? I've also been cleaning or to be more accurate, refinishing the grout on the kitchen tiles. Evo-stik have a product called Grout Revive which I'veused forthe first time and given that it's supposed to refresh wall tile grout, I'm having a small tonic without the gin and slice as I too need a refresh.

And finally, I've emulsioned the ceiling in the bottom hall. (front lobby we would have called that when I was a bairn ).

All in all I'm happy with my days efforts. At least I would be if I didn't still have to wash my brushes and roller.

Carry on. I'll be back shortly

                              • Afternoon chaps.

I've been planting up this year's Chrysanthemum order, which arrived today from Chrysanths Direct. It's all good: the plants are in great condition, they arrived in the week I specified, and there are two extra plants in there for free to replace the ones that turned out to have been wrongly labelled last year.

Hopefully everything is as labelled this time round.

They did make a mistake, though: one of the plants I ordered was Orange Allouise, it says Allouise Orange on the despatch note but the plant is labelled as Allouise Pink. I don't mind, but these experiences do seem to hint at some problems in their packing department!
