Now then children, I know it's bright & sunny outdoors but you need to dress up warm in mittens & scarf, we don't want any poorly people tomorrow morning that cannot go to school & hand their homework in, do we ?

    • Morning all. Lovely day here again. Surfacing slowly this morning, went out last night and had one pint too many. Feeling a little delicate, which is a shame as I have many strawberries to plant. I will get there, just not yet. Have a good day.

      • Good morning,

Ended up going bed quite late last night. I started to read and just couldn't stop. And then I started to read a new book after it. Got to clean the flat today and wash the laundry.

        Have a good day

          Morning all..
Bright morning here again today...From above list I did sow foxgloves, mowed the lawns with the pushmower (what a pita) and started on the puncture on the ride..Battery is flat too on ride on, so had to use pushmower...
          Also replenished my strawberries...

Hopefully get some more chores done today, but have daughter's soccer match to go to also

Yes, you could pop some Spring sets in there..

            • I've chaired the allotment AGM and completed my school work. Now I've a few bits to iron, then I can go and play in the lovely sunshine. Hurrah!

              • I'm in the ferry terminal. Fingers crossed everyone that we can get on the 4pm ferry. Or we will have to wait for the 6pm ferry ( the one we are booked on).

                • Evening all We got the garden furniture out of the garage this weekend and have enjoyed using it to soak up the bits of sun that came our way. Lovely - more sun please!

Tidied up the garden, moved a load of bricks off the lawn and emptied some old pots. It's all looking just a little bit neater. Encouraged at all the ladybirds I've seen on the holly and other bushes. Good signs.

Glad Gardener's World is back again and nice to see Monty has 2 dogs now although I got distracted looking at the dogs messing about in the background and not focusing on what he was saying
LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

We made it onto the 4 pm ferry. They Only managed to squeeze another 2 cars on behind us. But we are home unpacked, said hello to all the animals and now looking at all the lovely things we brought ( I haven't brought the wheelbarrow into the house to play with )

poor Nigel though. Reminds me of when we got our springer pup and our old boy couldn't be bothered with all that young dog energy rubbish!

                        • Evening all. Have been busy again today. Have hacked a hawthorn back in the front garden. I have got several scratches from the fight I had with it. Then I turned my attention to part of a hedge and two bushes by our front window. They have been well hacked back and we have now got a bit more light coming in now.
Then I had to go over to my mom and dad to see them this afternoon and then back home to bath the kids ready for school tomorrow.
Just glad to get chance to sit down for a bit.
Glad you have got home ok SP. I always think its nice to go away but nicer to get home, unpacked and sorted
                          Have a good evening everyone

                          • Good evening Folks, it was quite a nice day here today felt almost tropical the temperature was away up about 11 or 12c, was busy cutting back some bushes, and will need to get it all shredded tomorrow, I dont see any problem with a load of branches piled up at the side of the house, but the frowns that I get when the LOML. sees them, it will be the first thing to be done tomorrow. Well I wish you all a good night, and those who have to go to work etc. it wont be long till the weekend, and believe me the weekends seem to come round quicker now a days, I think someone has removed some days from the week. Goodnight
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.
