The nearest postbox has changed its last/only collection time - from 17.45 to 9am and 7am on Saturday. Bessie and I have just rushed down to post some VSP seeds. I won't be doing this every morning Haven't even had coffee yet..

Busy day for me, just got back from Bath, quick cuppa and then I'm off out again. Concert this evening with Son playing clarinet. I may just manage to squeeze some potting on i between....it's gonna be another gorgeous Spring day here

my house smells of sweet buttery fruit
We have an old friend- old as in from 40 years ago(!) who is calling in later in the week so I'm making a boil in the pan fruit cake for her.
So easy and delish!

The ingredients are just cooling down , and when I get back and it's cooled I'll add the eggs and flour and stick it in the oven.

Off out to get the carrot seeds and help a friend with some packing.
...would prefer to be in the garden, but needs must eh?

oh and Bren- I'm the one to blame- we have horizon to horizon blue sky here..sorry!

Morning all, sun is in and out like a peep of gas today, it's also a bit chilly! Going to sort out my strawberries this afternoon, the cats, feral but next door looks after them and I have to admit they are lovely, have dug them up so I think I'm going to put them in pots. (The strawberries that is not the cats)
Nicos, I remember my sister used to make a boil in the pan fruit loaf but can't remember what ingredients went into it but it was delicious. If anyone knows a good recipe and it willing to share I would be very happy!

Good Evening,

Not done much today apart from catch up on TV programs I have missed. Last night I started to get tooth ache. This morning it feels like I've been punched in the face. My gum around my wisdom tooth is swollen and very sore. I have a dentist appointment Thursday. Just need to get threw tonight and tomorrow with the pain. I did put bonjella on it but it don't seem to of work.

My OH friend suggested(she use to be a dental nurse) that I should use hot water with some salt in it. I think I will try that just before I go to bed because I know it's not going to taste very nice.

If it was upto me and if I had any in, I'd just get drunk until I couldn't feel the pain no more haha.

Little Hibou decided to stay out all night again...much to our stress!
Last time she apparently had snuck in through a neighbour's window and gone and slept on their spare bed!
Hmm.......she must have done the same again????
Bet they're none too pleased cos she leaks a pile of saliva now wherever she sleeps
( nope...sadly she not any better in case peeps were just wondering....)

No swimming today...domestic chores and hopefully a tad more gardening for me.
And maybe I'll either make another cake or some of Hazel's oath biscuits for our friends who are coming tomorrow.( can't believe we both knew her son when he was 8 and he's almost 50 )

Weather is mixed this morning, one minute it's raining then the sun is out. Nothing exciting planned for today as its shopping day

I really don't see how walking up and down supermarkets appeals to people.

I might be lucky and be able to get over the allotment, depends if I can get under the OH's feet enough

Been trying to source some PT hoops but so far without success, so any suggestions welcome.

Morning all, I can see a tiny bit of blue sky! Yeah!

Yesterday I had a cortisone injection in each knee, (arthritis), so hoping I'll notice a bit of improvement, at least so I can get my potatoes planted at the weekend! So I have a plaster on each knee, just like when I was 5 years old! Haha

I've been looking for a second hand tunnel. There were some tunnels and individual hoops on eeeebay. Probably all of them a lot closer to you for collection, than they were for me! I'm still looking.
