      • Morning all,

Such a busy last few days and the OH being ill, so have decided to have a lazy day, my throat is sore and its cold outside, so hopefully if i take care today it won't get any worse.

Might soak the sweetcorn seeds and decide what winter squashes i will grow this year, might just keep to butternut and spaghetti, i always go way over the top and end up just giving them away or they rot.

        Have a nice day x

        • Cold here too today. But I think I saw a faint glimmer of the bright shiny thing in the sky. I need to cut down the bamboo and clear out the cold frame. Oh and next door have had their drive relaid which means ours is covered in crud so I'd better sweep ours. Not impressed.

            • Afternoon All Power cut last night for about five minutes just as I had settled down to watch Game of Thrones. Lights came back on, but telly signal did not, so I thought ha! no problem, I'll watch a HP DVD on the laptop. Couldn't figure out how to bladdy play it (first time of trying). Got fed up after half an hour, played about a bit on various websites and lo and behold when I checked the telly, it was back! Looked at lappy this morning and immediately knew how to play DVDs - very strange, especially as I'd only had one glass of wine the last time I tried
Anyway, to bore you further, my new printer arrived yesterday and my son said he would install it tomorrow. I got itchy fingers, opened the box and I've just done it myself. Yay. Technonanny strikes again
Hope to hear some good news from LD soon and hope you're all having a good day. I am. I might even go outside and plant something now

              • Prevening, folks.

This is the point in the day where I wish that I *had* had that 20min map after my run this morning - I'm knackered now! Oh well, a glass of Malbec will be kill or cure, I guess!

                    • Evening all...
                      Busy day for me...
Did a 60k cycle, mowed the lawns and planted lots of my onion sets...
Then cooked dinner, lit fire and fed the kids .
All fed and in their pjs now..
Oh, I did grab a beer in between 😋
I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....

Nice pots!...you may need a tad more for all those seeds!
Hopefully at least one will work for you?

Yeh...seeds here seem to be sold by the gram rather than roughly how many in a package!

                        Glad they arrived safely!
                        Didn't take long did it?

Have been out with the family celebrating our GWA. have had a great night, and several wines and brandy`s, would have prefered whisky but I never mix the grape with the grain. Still havent got anything for OH, but will keep looking. Well i will wish yjou all a good night ad I think the cup of tea I had a short time ago is starting to make me sleepy, and just a thought OH may not want/need anything else when she has me. Goodnight

Well I remained upright and sensible enough to bake Bakewell tarts, tiffin and tea (ran out of time to do cheese scones), and to go to Local Pub which has the delightful Black Sheep as a guest on at the mo - and back to watch some of the athletics on the box.

Many congratulations on your 50 years glorious harmony, Rary. I'm glad that you've celebrated this evening, but am surprised that you haven't a gift - besides your very good self - for your wife.

Did she not drop enormous hints on present acceptability? It would be hard on you if she hadn't, as you would have to think from her point of view what she would be like - an woebetide the man who tries to get into the head of a woman!
