Evening all. Well I went to the allotment and finished dogging to the other side of the compost bins. Just need to dig over where the old fruit bushes were. That is really, really weedy. Might try and get the OH to help me lift some slabs tomorrow.
Been to Hans Spring production tonight. So that's another thing over and done with

Good evening, I've been absent of late! Very busy boy.
Two school plays, went fishing, caught a target fish, a lovely fish..

Cleaned out the greenhouse!

Sowed some seeds... Oh, VC.. if you read this, my seeds arrived thanks very much!!

I've had an intermittent broadband problem, every couple of months disconnects and slow speeds, dodgey phone line too but every time openreach came out, the fault wasn't there and they couldn't do anything! Grrr..
Well today a very nice engineer came out, the 7th in the last year..and the fault was found!!! Yay!
I literally could have kissed him..
The pavement is marked up ready for the workmen to dig a hole and fix things..I'm soooo happy but also putting up with poor internet for just a few more days!

Morning all . Been loads of shiney but dulling now. Slept all the way through last night. First time for ages.

Although kitchen has been painted, it looks very dull. I think it's down to the new spotlight bulbs we fitted but we are changing the paint from pastel green which in poor light can look grey, to cream.

2-3 hours work but hopefully that will do the trick. If not, the spotlight bulbs which cost £8.50 each will be getting the heave.

Hmppppphhhh, 2- 3 hours my backside. new paint had really poor coverage and needed two coats so double the time. Having said that, it has transformed the room and I changed back to the original type of bulbs as well which has made a tremendous difference.

Helping my pal install a canopy over his front door tomorrow so that should be interesting.

Glad you got the kitchen sorted AP....very rewarding!

Having messed about with the new types of light bulbs now available, my feet are definitely in the 'warm white' camp.
Thing is, it's hard to compare lumens and watts and the rest of the explanation on the bulb packages isn't it?
Still not got my head around them...but I have found this site which I thought I'd share....

Morning Girls'n'all from a quite pleasant Nestland, got plenty to do today. Need to make some adjustment to the kite door, move another mountain of chippings then I want to experiment with a solar irrigation system but obviously I need some sun for that..........................anyways best get on as they won't do themselves. Morning all
Another morning shopping for my grandad. I couldn't carry it all yesterday with his 4 bottles of whiskey & 8 bottles of ginger ale! But the real fun happens this afternoon. I take grandad to hospital, for his 3 monthly check up on his kidneys.

I took My father in law to the dementia clinic once I got him to give me directions we laughed so much we really didn't have a clue where we were going. When the doc asked him "do you know where you are?" He responded "no, but neither does she!"

Morning all! Must get a move on, I want to pot up my toms and then I'm out for the rest of the afternoon. Hair cut today.
