  • Morning from me also!

I too had an early start, but bitterly cold, and rain has stopped play, so a little seed sowing and pot washing in the warmth of home destined for the rest of the day.

I may even also order another "Glow light" never had one before, but now I have, one is just not enough!

Thank Gaw'd my OH is at work!

    • Afternoon everyone or morning to most of you

What a busy day, met a gardener who is going to come help me for a few hours, had a large area of land plough, had 3 tonne or earth delivered to bank the land up, harvesting etc. Then i just noticed one of the old gals (chicken) has prolapsed so i now have to find some gloves wish me luck.

Cant wait to get the plant planted up now, everything has been really put off

      Have a nice day

If you are using an exce1 spreadsheet, you can set the autosave to every - say - 5 mins, then you don't lose the whole lot if your computer throws a wobbly.

Must confess to be winding down here behind the desk - I've just been plotting a route for the weekend long run. It involves going on the train then running home again; hopefully via the Heart of England Way. Of course I might end up running home via a bog or a farmyard with angry goats or something, depending how well the paths are signposted....

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it.

                          • Evening All!
Its been raining all day so I took myself off for some retail therapy, via the council tip. So many useful things being dumped - not by me, of course!
It was one of those daft supermarket days when everyone wanted to talk to me.
There was the man I met at the yellow sticker section who tried to convert me to Christianity, after I offered him a carton of 19p soup! How did that happen?
.........and a customer at the cooked meat counter who said he had a big one and passed me a gammon shank.............and the baker who told me I didn't need to diet, as I picked up several boxes of yellow stickered cream cakes. He ruined it by saying "as long as you're happy with the way you look......... Some more Baker's advice "When people make comments about my appearance, I tell them to S*d off, pardon my language". I'll remember that for next time
So, having been Blessed, sort of complimented and offered a big one I made my merry way home, where I devoured a pot of 19p pea and spinach soup and a giant sized cream cake
Hope you've all had a bonkers day too

Strip of steel may be best alternative..

                              • Went out to town for the day. Had an eye test earlier in the day and collected my new glasses in the afternoon.
Sorted for the next year or two visually.
A little rain but temp is up and its a little milder. Not a great forecast for the weekend but we will wait and see.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.
