  • I know I've already posted but I went on the holiday that was offered in the mag several months ago. I went to Cyprus and Turkey with a friend and had a fantastic time. I don't know if any other grapes have gone on it but I hope they did.

I was hoping to keep in touch via my Ipad but it died on the first day.

        • Good evening Folks, I have been away for a short holiday (just a reminder for the OH of how lucky she is) and have just skimmed through various sections of the Vine, and I see AP has finaly finished the painting, and is now adding finishing touches to the house, (I cant understand why it takes people so long to do these type of jobs) Well time for bed, I do hope every one has a good weekend, I will sleep all night, and I bet AP will be awake thinking, why cant I be as quick as rary at these jobs,.........Just joking AP, I wish you all the best, as it can be a stressful time moving house and if I stayed closer to you I would have been happy to lend a hand,,,, (at a supervisory level ofcourse) Goodnight

I've already been out. Let out chickens & turkeys.had a long chat with all of them. Also checked the mink traps.....empty.
It's a bit gray and a bit drizzle here to day. Plan on potting on and house work. Probably just be potting on and seed sowing.

                • Morning all, very grey here but calm. No rain either ... yet. Have to go and get some grocery shopping - family coming over for lunch tomorrow. Then hairdresser's later. Start getting my stuff together for holiday. Going down to Gatwick on Tuesday evening. Gosh it does annoy me (I ought to put this in the Rant thread) when flights for a particular holiday ONLY go from London airports. yes - I know 15-20 million people live in the south east. But that means that 45-50 million people don't! Aaarggghhh. Anyway, have a good day everyone.

Have to say I'm chuffed I found some cornflakes type cereal yesterday and made some yummy chocolate nests for tomorrow. I'm going to give most of them away though!

I was hoping to go to market this morning but I've too much to do.

                      • Good morning everyone.
Dreary start to the day, but what a great one yesterday
Got work this afternoon, so no gardening chores today.
We are going to our Daughters for dinner on Easter Sunday, only taking spuds and carrots with us, that's a result
Also, the GG has quite a few days with us over the Easter holidays, in fact she is with us mid morning
Better get a wriggle on then ...

                        • Morning everyone Yesterday was amazing weather, sunshine all day long and so warm. Sat outside for hours enjoyed watching the frogs (first time I've seen them this year) jumping around in the grass and making a splash in their little (washing up bowl!) ponds. Saw quite a few butterflies and bees.

OH went and bought all the wood planks and outdoor paint for the raised beds as Wickes had a 15% off deal for Easter. So when we get some dry days we can get those cut and painted. That doesn't look like anytime soon with the weather forecast but at least we've got it all now.

Hope everyone has a lovely Easter weekend. Tomorrow we are off for a family meal so I am looking forward to a no-cooking day
LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

                            Grey with misty drizzle here

Off to chatter to the chooks while tidying up the 'invasive' bed, currently showing are rhubarb, three pointed leek, ramsomes & a couple of perpetual leeks

What a change in the weather after yesterday's sunshine. Cold, windy and rain later - so they say. Never mind, it'll fill my new pond and I can see if its level
Enjoy your weekend - whatever it may bring you. Think mine will involve playing with seeds
