Mornin n'all n'all
Back to 'normal' today for everyone ? ( apart from those with kids off school?)
Might try and catch up with some ironing before going swimming.
Tis just getting light out there so there's not much incentive to get going!

Morning all, showers here too! Off to buy a curtain pole and a visit to the supermarket today. When my son is home I feel as though I live in the place! Need to buy some new compost as the stuff I bought in Morries is absolutely rubbish...should have know as it was only £2.00!
Anyhoo, hope you all have a lovely day!sigpic

Good morning all. Shiney here at the moment but heavy showers forecast.
Off out for a walk and if the weather takes a turn for the worse theres plenty to do in the greenhouse.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

A sad day today. My uncle has just gone into a hospice. He's been unwell since the start of the year and has been in and out of hospital. All I can think of now is that he will hopefully be much more comfortable and get some good care. He said he couldn't rest properly in hospital and he hated the food (still managed to keep his humour up despite being so poorly) so hopefully this will be better for him and what he needs now. And that's the bit I shall focus on.LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.

Artnoon All! Chucking it down here, after a dry morning.
Why do dogs need to go out whenever the rain is at its heaviest? Spud's fur turns into corkscrew ringlets when he's wet, and they seem to suck up water and are impossible to dry
As long as you are all OK, I'll wander off and play with seeds

Thought I was going to empty my car today. Written off by a drunk driver whilst I was on holiday. Fortunately my son had just got out of it to use an ATM. The driver of the other car ran into it and pushed it into the side of a house. The insurance company have already collected it but my belongings are being stored at the depot so I don't need to pick them up 'til later on this week.
Double insurance today, my friend was taken ill whilst we were on holiday and am I glad I insured her! We've been filling in the forms."I prefer rogues to imbeciles as they sometimes take a rest" (Alexander Dumas)
"It is neccessary to have wished for death in order to know how good it is to live" (also Alexandre Dumas)

Busy day at work today so that was good. Had a pal helping and just having someone to bounce things off shortens the day. A winter tidy up in the morning and fencing repairs in the afternoon. Don't I just love the winter storms .
This evening drove almost 40 miles to deliver a birthday card and present to my Auntie. Thought her birthday was today but it's tomorrow. Doesn't matter, she was pleased to see us and at least we weren't late.

Mornin n'all n'all
Had a good but tiring day yesterday...icing on the cake were 2 x 1€ offers at L!dl.
One was a rather wilted hydrangea which, having had a darned good drink now looks perfect, and the other was a box of out of date veg....5 bananas,1kg baby spinach, broccoli, and a wilted lettuce and wilted lambs lettuce for the chooks.
All those for about £1.60
The spinach is now curried and frozen and I made broccoli soup using the stock from the Easter leg of lamb.
Very satisfying!
I'm hoping to do a bit of gardening today if the weather holds...fingers crossed"Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple
