  • Morning

One of those nights where you sleep for 10 minutes and lay awake for an hour....now doubt I will have a snooze in the chair later

No real plans for today but I am sure gardening will figure in the equation somewhere. Time for porridge now

    Have a fun one

    • Good morning all
Unsure what the weather's going to bring us today. There's a brightness in the sky right now AND a ruddy frosty topping on my car - I'm dreading going into GH to see my newly potted on toms
If it stays dry I'm going to be digging ...

      • Minus 3 here at the moment and loads of shiney. Rotavator breaking out of winter storage so hopefully it will start as I need it for a job...

        I'm actually considering retiring. Will I, won't I?

I'm half way through tidying my shed. Just come in for a quick drink. I'm going to finish the sweet pea climbing frames today if it kills me. Half finished jobs bug me. On that note, I'm back to my shed tidying.
            Have a good day everyone

            • Susie how could you leave your toms in the GH all night! I just couldn't...

I had a wardrobe delivered a couple of weeks ago, OH put it together on the weekend. Ive lived here for nearly 17 years and we haven't had a wardrobe in our room so I was quite excited about it at Christmas. We had a rejig with the bedrooms a few weeks back and we've moved into the attic room. It's lovely, light &spacious but the only furniture up there is the bed now how to furnish a narrow room with very sloping ceilings. I'm not waiting another 17years or so.

              • Morning all! Taking no1 son to a job interview in an hour. I'm up and about feeling nervous for him. Yes, you've guessed it, he's still in bed. I've taken a cup of tea in, hoping he'll get up.

Scarlet, I know, I'm a really bad mother!!!
Just plucking up courage now to go pay a visit to GH.
Then on with work boots, shed keys to hand, garden fork and spade will have the cobwebs blown off them..!! (Get the radox/bath ready later to ease aching limbs... )

If you resolve this problem please pass on some tips. I've slept in my attic bedroom for 20 years now and love it. The problem has always been that there's nowhere to put a wardrobe because of the sloping ceilings. There is a radiator in the only possible place. 😐

                      • Morning everyone'n'all from a Nestland that hasn't got a clue what to do weather wise, one minute sun, the next rain.........by it's busy in here this morning, I could hardly get through the door............& noisy................you lot can't 'arf rabbit...............anyways, I may go play with my log splitter, don't want Mr Scarlet havin' all the fun. For all you who live in attics, if you have space the secret is to have a dedicated walk in wardrobe, aka the spare room. I converted one many years ago & it worked a treat cos it made the bedroom look bigger & you wasn't falling over each other......................anyway, less of my waffling as I know you lot will want to chatter away so I'll leave you to it......have a good one.

                              • Jay I've got varifocals, I take mine off to read a book too - anything long really, like doing cake modelling etc but will leave them on to read labels etc in the shops. I was for ever doing the glasses on glasses off thing. Though the last time I went I said they were useless for reading/crafts so I've got a spare pair that is just for close up work - still read without them
