    • Morning all,
Thick overcast today, it feels chilly as well, typical as i planted out the courgettes yesterday so they will be cold
Went shopping the other day but forgot to buy water so have to go shopping again! always end up buying things we do not need that will sit in the cupboards.
      Have a nice day

      • Good morning,

I am spending the day in bed. Thought I was fine yesterday and then yesterday night I felt like I had been in 9 rounds with Mike Tyson. Aching, headache, sore throat and blocked and runny nose.

I thought I got rid of it when I was last ill over a week ago, but nope seems like it's come back again.

        I

By that time, he had removed the cowling to try to find the power supply wire and just as well. Although the power was connected, the exhaust ducting had not been connected indeed the necessary hole in the ceiling had not even been cut out. Why do people do that sort of thing?
I have a suggested reason for this - the cooker hood in my new kitchen can be either air filtered or extraction. We intended to use it as a filter due to the difficulty of ducting it to the outside. The only place it could go on the outside wall was next to my next door neighbour's air vent. The building inspector insisted on the ducting so we put a vent on the outside wall and put the ceiling up. BI thinks it's ducted but in fact I'm using a filter.

Actually I usually just open a window as it's so noisy I can't hold a conversation or listen to the radio. 😯

          • I'm sitting down with a coffee wondering where to start today. I had my family over for Sunday lunch yesterday, the first time I've been able to do this for nearly 5 years. It was really good.

Weather doesn't seem to be able to make up it's mind but as long as it stays dry I'll go and move some more of the woodpile.

                  • Its hail stoning here now so I hid in the GH then run into the house. I did get my cloche set up to harden off the broad beans and sweetpeas. so that's something achieved.

                    • Well, H$&eB#$e finslly got Jacks Magic compost in. €10.45 for a 60litre bag.
Thought this was very expensive but I bought it anyway as I have been wanting to try it out.
Disappointed to go on line this evening to check around and see if it is being sold anywhere else in Dublin and a garden centre on the far side of the city is selling it for €7.99.
If I complain I will be told thr usual, i.e, "the exchange rate".

                      • Evening all,
Kids were back to school today after being off for over 2 weeks, so some sort of routine and normality is returning.
Busy weekend myself and ended up doing a lot of potting on of chili and tomato plants..
Headed off for a cycle yesterday and was aiming to do approx 60k, but felt good so I kept going and ended up doing 95km
                        Very happy with myself!

Still trying to organize some prices for getting our driveway done in asphalt..

It was nice and sunny but now the fog has moved in. Off over the plot to get my JA's planted up in big containers today. Decided to put the spuds in this weekend, weather permitting. Depending how energetic I feel I might start erecting my bean frames so I can work out my layout for this year.

                              Have a good one all

All beasties cleaned out. Got a poorly chicken this morning. Little house made up with heat lamp and a medication in the water for her. The sun is putting in an appearance. So I'm off to play in the tunnel.
                                Have a good day everyone.
