Now when I were a lass the bakeries opened for about 2 hrs on Good Friday just to sell Hot Cross Buns. Nowadays they are cold cross buns and warm them up yourself and sold from Chistmas onwards. My rant is that I nipped down to the local supermarket on Good Friday for my buns and there weren't any. On enquiry I was told I should have bought them earlier ie before Friday as they had been taken off the shelves as no longer in season. Also all the easter eggs have been removed before Easter Sunday (don't get me on the subject of Easter Day which doesn't exist) as out of season.

The council who provide a letter to say that the rent comes out by D.D on the 4th of every month and then pull it today on the 29th which left us overdrawn.I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work. Thomas A. Edison

The Doctors surgery that tells me and my disabled daughter to come in for a fasting blood test at 12 noon so I've been awake for five hours without coffee or breakfast.
The same doctors surgery that tells me, 45 minutes after our appointment times, that the blood test woman has car trouble and will be late in.
"so you'll have to come back same time tomorrow"
The lid@ls checkout girl who was scanning my shopping before I had got the trolley emptied onto the conveyer belt...
Even though this was clearly stressing out my autistic daughter with Downs syndrome...
...Thus preventing me from allowing an elderly lady buying ONE orange the chance to go in front (I had over a hundred quids worth in the trolley)...
...and then continued to scan (despite repeated requests to wait) before the trolley was empty to put the shopping back into, just piling it up ever highter at the till until, inevitably, stuff started falling on the floor and, just as inevitably, I shouted at her in front of dozens of bemused shoppers
And finally...she said my car registration wasn't my car registration...and the machine and camera don't recognize it and therefore I should keep my receipt because I am going to get a parking fine through the post

Northern Gas Networks who seem to think it is acceptable to dig up the central reservation and half a lane of road on a very busy dual carriageway in the city but close 2 lanes for the duration of the works thus halving the roads capacity. They did this before Easter and despite the fact very little work is going on (and very intermittently) the lanes still remain closed. The traffic back-up is horrendous. These companies should have to work 24/7 when they want to disrupt life for so many people.
Also the "blind"??? bi*** with headphones in who decides to pull in front of me onto a roundabout and block my exit causing me to hit the brakes hard. I really should just have carried on and hit her as she was completely in the wrong (not giving way to traffic already on the roundabout)
New resolution. Plug the dashcam in so that I have proof next time!!!................and carry on.

I went to the GC yesterday. I wanted 4 vines because the theme for my new shed is Greek Taverna. It has got even worse. The inside of the GC has virtually nothing gardeny and the outside that used to be plants as far as the eye can see, now has them relegated to a small area at one end and the rest is stuff that can be left outside much of which used to be inside.
I got my 4 vines, but there wasn't much choice as there were only 6 there anyway. and it's not because they've had a run over Easter although I know they did 'cos I tried it and left without attempting to park. There's no more room for plants!
It's called a Garden Centre, shouldn't it be for gardens? :-("I prefer rogues to imbeciles as they sometimes take a rest" (Alexander Dumas)
