            • I very rarely have a lie in but for some reason I had trouble getting to sleep last night. I watched Transporter 2 and Gordon Ramsay and finally got to sleep at about 3 am. Somebodies car alarm started up at about 5.15 am. Whosevers it was kept turning it off and it kept starting up again. This went on for about 45mins. By this time I was well awake, so was one of the dogs who was let out for a very early wee. Finally got my head down again at about 6am and slept until 8.30 when I was woken by other dog who'd decided it was time he went out. Grrrrrh!

                • This is probably a major rant. I don't know how much more I can put up with. The neighbour's 2 doors away bought their house 12 years ago. They were doing it up for 3 years before they moved in. Whilst my oh was alive they (or rather he) was fine. Over the the last 9 years they've put me through hell. Nothing that is actually illegal but very close to it.

They probably think I'm the neighbour from hell because unbeknownst to them I was going through a family dispute regarding my house.

Today my plan was to paint the insides of my new windows and back door as it is the first time it has been warm enough to leave them open for several hours. Instead I've been holed up indoors because I can't face them teasing my dogs then complaining about them. My immediate next door neighbour has had enough and has said he wants to sell up and move. His predecessor (my friend) did exactly that without declaring any dispute because she decided not to fight him so she didn't have to declare it on her spif. I will sound awful about my main problem which is their youngest child who spends his time screeching. I love the sound of children playing but this is something else. It's as irritating as the sound of nails on a blackboard. They've turned their barn at the end of their garden into their main living room so there is no escape.

I made the (in retrospect wrong) decision 9 years ago to fight to keep the house I love. I'm now beginning to hate it, but I've spent more than it's worth to keep it and put it into a liveable condition. If I leave I leave with nothing so I'm trapped here.

                  • Oh Janie ((((hug)))) I hope In Time they move, they may!
Friend of mine had neighbour from hell , poisoning plants over fence, squirting hosepipe so blasted into patio(open doors) abuse, police did nothing .
Eventually after having house in market no idea why (the other day moved out throught the night). God help new neighbours.

                              • Relegated to munching cooking chocolate!!!

Due to bad back I haven't been shopping and I have run out of all my favourites?

Must say though it doesn't taste too bad...and I have just made a chocolate Victoria sponge which tomorrow morning I will fill with last years cherry jam and whipped cream and coat with whatever is left of the aforementioned cooking chocolate.

Yum! Yum! Methinks I'll soon be back on the what makes you happy thread..........
