  • The ignorant little man next door has stopped the OH from putting pea netting up against the fence (as he said he paid for it so both sides are his) to support our sweet peas!

I am really looking forward to when he needs to paint it as he is going to have to take each panel out from his side to do the job.

You can't attach anything to it if it's his fence ... However you can put up your own support for your plants right up against it and there is nothing he can do. You are allowed to use your own land to its fullest extent.

      • I really hope that when it comes time for him to paint it we have the right to not allow him into our garden so that he can paint our side of his fence.

        • let him in Lumpy....I'll lend you a BIG dog

          My rant,
The 2 books I need (and I do mean need...they're books that support a new way of managing chronic pain in line with my physio and hydrotherapy and pain clinic) the books I need are not available from the library and the libraries are now run by a private gym so no longer order books in...

They cost £25 and £55 on am0z0n' for paperback.
80 quid before I know if they're any good

Due to bad back I haven't been shopping and I have run out of all my favourites?

Must say though it doesn't taste too bad...and I have just made a chocolate Victoria sponge which tomorrow morning I will fill with last years cherry jam and whipped cream and coat with whatever is left of the aforementioned cooking chocolate.

Yum! Yum! Methinks I'll soon be back on the what makes you happy thread..........
When I was a kid I used to suck the chocolate off the dogs treats. Mum didn't twig but dog was a bit aggrieved!

I mistakenly left a bar of Galaxy in the greenhouse yesterday. When i went back you can imagine what it was like! Why is it that melted chocolate tastes far better than solid chocolate?

                  • An old favourite I imagine: here I am stuck indoors with a ton of work to do and the sun is shining. By the time I'm done, the forecast is for rain right through till 13 May (apologies to those of you in the land of almost constant rain, otherwise known ironically as sunny Macc and Manchester). So not only am I getting held up but I'll also have to waste time and compost potting on my tomato plants.

                    Grrr and double grrr.

On the bright side, I might start off some parsnip seeds straight in the ground and hope the rain gets them germinating. That would be a new trick to try.

                        • With 24 hours and 10 minutes to go before our holiday I decide to wander outside with a cup of tea to see hubby.
I then face planted on concrete, the cup smashed, glasses flew off my face and it flipping hurts.
Huge bruise and graze on forehead, can be covered by fringe. Upper lip and nose is just one big graze.
