Not sure BB....he mentioned a very fine needle/ piece of wire ( I think)......maybe part of the hot wire system?...
Non technical, the body is there to hold the Mass Airflow Sensor & a large particle filter (mesh), the sensor is basically an extreemely fine wire that is heated to a known value which incoming air passes over, the temperature of the wire is affected by any combination of :- volume of air, moisture content, air temperature ... black magic then works out this information & passes it to the cars engine control computer which in turn adjusts the air - fuel ratio to give the correct parameters for the accelerator pedal position at any given time.

If vat registered then vat has to be added, vat is a pain for those registered believe me.
I realise VAT has to be added - but surely you would mention this when quoting for a domestic job ?
Commercially, I can understand not adding it in a quote as the receiving company can claim this amount back on their next VAT return - but a domestic job, Nah, the chancer is at it.

It makes no difference unfortunately. We have customers (general public who may have their own vat reg business) and those not vat reg. We have no choice whether we add or not, we claim vat back on purchases but we just end up paying out to vat man anyway...but yes we always tell the customer the price is either inclusive of the vat or vat is to be added.
I started to post this in Chatback and then realised it was a rant.
I took the risk today of spraying the weeds (most of the garden) with weed killer. I'll give them 3 days and then I'll go round with the strimmer. I am absolutely determined to get my garden back. The nasty neighbour replaced my postcrete this afternoon. A bit late as the weeds have grown about 2 feet in the interim. I don't know what to do about my next door neighbours schumach. It is self seeded before he owned the house and now towers and shades my garden. There is no way I can reach the branches that reach over my patch. I don't hate plants but this is an overgrown weed.
I want to put up a greenhouse/polytunnel but there is nowhere that isn't shaded by neighbours trees.

Don't know if you remember the tree OH was trying to save? It's going downhill rapidly. He repotted it a while ago, well guess what?! Went to move it to paint the shed and water was sloshing about in the pot, yes you've guessed no drainage holes, he has only gone and drowned the poor thing!!!
Visible clouds of pollen - itchy painful swollen watery eyes all day even with anti-histamines. Could barely see for large chunks of the day & still sore now.....
