What sad news. My hugs to you both, SP and VC - many of us appreciate what it means to lose an animal family member.
I know that Seven and Mary had enriched your respective lives for many years - and although you'll be devastated, and miss them terribly (as well you should!), try to remember what a great life you gave them too - they surely fell on their feet when they made their home with you - lucky doggies xx
The rant threads got so sad, sorry to hear about everything on here, remember the good times it is sad for our loss, there's some nice reading in the bible I picked up when my dog died, about when the earthly body's gone the spirit living on,the healthiest & strongest it's ever been. I hope you're all ok!!
So, so sorry. She's been here all the way through "has anyone had puppies". Mine are now 7 and I dread the day. Xx

This isn't chat, Mods, really!
Just want to say thanks for all the kind messages about Old Mary. I didn't intend to tell you, but SP's loss made me come out to give some sort of support - to show that I knew what she was going through.
Mary hadn't been a fit dog for years - deaf, practically blind but she had a very good appetite right to the end. In her last weeks she was unable to get to her feet and had to be lifted into a standing position. When she fell, she was stuck. Sadly, that meant that she couldn't support herself to go to the toilet and this distressed her, to be lying in her own mess. I took her to the vet on Thursday and she left us peacefully with a final snore!
RIP Mary. I miss your snores!
