    Sob sob sob!
So, tried the Customer Service number twice this morning as they are just waiting to speak to me - back to huge piles of hoggy do dah....................so off to the store.................woman who looked like she had been sucking lemons just before I arrived listened to me impatiently then tried the customer service number as they are just waiting to take her call........more do dah.

After all of this it turns out that the manufactures of my drier don't work weekends so there is nobody to take my calls.

Why don't they have a recorded message that says that just after you have spoken to the robotic voice and then promised your eldest child in sacrifice if you are put through?

Why don't the website say - if you want an engineer or a replacement at the weekend tough luck as we arn't in till Monday.

Lemon woman is going to sort it out in the morning and phone me by 9am..................quick quick look out of the window............nope not geese but flying pigs.

    • In France L!dl sell boxes of fruit and veg early in the morning for 1euro. It's veg that is close to the end of its life but quite usable if you don't keep it too long. It's one of their efforts to stop waste.

My rant is people who buy the boxes which are far more than they can use and end up throwing most of it away. Defeats the object!!!

        • It has to be said, that with each version of the BT hub the coverage appears to shrink and this hub the Smart Hub 6 will not sync with my HP Printer using the WPS Wi Fi Setup, I had to do it manually and once set up it still would not function beyond a couple of prints before it drops the connection. Four bars out of*5 and it's sitting next to the printer on the same shelf!**

In the end I've gone back to a USB cable. BT Support takes forever and over the weekend after waiting getting spoken to then passed on and on the phone waiting for over an hour they finally transferred me to someone with a brain, and not with just a script of questions and answers to follow who assisted me in solving one of my problems resulting from the hub upgrade. What's more she was based in the UK and the quality of the line was good and I could understand what she was saying.

Q: BT - Would you recommend us to a friend

A: Me -* NO but regrettably most of the other providers out there are equally inept !**

          • Quote isn't working properly - get the first few words then have to copy and paste the rest and add the quote bit at the end. Am amazed however that I got it right and it worked!

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

            • I'm going to my daughter for Christmas Day. I asked what I could contribute and she asked me if I could make my pate. It's popular in the family. I can get every ingredient in the recipe except the main one ... Chicken livers. If anyone suggests the local supermarket I will laugh. Ours sells them all year but not in the run up to Christmas because the space is taken up with turkeys.

              • Janie....get some turkey liver..it'll work fine, but a bit different.
I bet there's tons of that aroundZ,
                Better still goose liver?
You'd get those from a small, local butcher who takes orders...maybe even chicken liver???

My rant....the bathroom isn't finished on time...we had a massive radiator leak which soaked the floor so we're having to wait fir it to dry out before fitting the new flooring.
                Ah well....we did our best!

                  • I can't get any other poultry liver. The best I can get is what I already have, lambs liver (which by the way isn't from baby sheep).

Rant to justify this post. When I were a lass, country folks could get stuff townies couldn't. Nowadays it's t'other way about. A few years ago my OH booked a goose for Christmas. When we went to collect it our butcher had the embarassment of telling us the farmer had changed his mind at the last minute and sold them all to Sainsburys. We had a turkey instead.

I have to go to one of our local larger towns to get what I want. Even our brilliant local butcher can't guarantee supplies. I actually got to the stage of not wanting to drive around trying to find stuff and ordering from a supermarket delivery online but the first delivery I can get is Dec 27th.
