My son asked me to get him an A5 sized diary for work as he couldn't get to the shops himself. I went in every outlet likely to sell them in this town and the paper shop was the only one that had any left. 2 to be precise, an A4 and an A3, so too big and too small.

So my first rant, we are in the first half of the first month of a new year and I can't buy a diary, well one I want anyway.

A friend was off to meet her boyfriend when he finished work in the nearest large town, so I asked her to buy me one. Gave her the instructions of what was needed and she wrote it down. Her boyfriend decided we'd got it wrong as he reckoned A5 was bigger than A4 so A4 was what we really needed. Now I have a too big, useless diary and still have to find another one. Grrrrrrh.

I could take this one back but the time and inconvenience aren't worth it.

Exactly what was required. Ta. It would be quicker to to buy online but what does that do to our retailers. If they want to compete with the internet they need to provide what people want today and not have to wait for a delivery several days later.

Coming to my rant, my son and his mrs ordered an Xmas present for me on 21st Dec, it still hasn't arrived. They've told me what it is and tried to track it, with no success. I'm beginning to think they've been scammed.

Pain-in-the-arris Brother-in-Law wants a new vehicle. He has pre-warned Hubby that his services will be required, and Hubby has agreed to view/test-drive suitable vehicles - within reason.

Within reason means, locally, and when he's not already busy.

Brother-in-Law calls this morning, and has found a vehicle - but it's four hours away. He wants to go tomorrow!

Hubby says too short notice, sorry. Then says find one nearer, and the (insert very very rude word here) says, it's OK, I thought we'd go up in your car!!!!!

          Over my dead body!

                Referring to my previous rant.

Brother-in-Law asks me if Hubby is available today, and I respond that he'll have to ask him himself, as I don't know. He doesn't bother to text or phone, but just turns up on our doorstep this morning.

I hold my tongue, but 'forget' to offer coffee.

The vehicle he wants to see is over two hours away, which is an improvement on the previous option. But he has turned up in his wife's tiny little baby car, that has a top speed of about 55, and he doesn't want to go 'all that way' mostly motorway, in the thing. He has a big comfortable (thirsty) and much more suitable vehicle at home - but didn't bring it.

So, in short, Hubby and his Bro have gone off to see this motor.

                IN OUR CAR!!!!

I am now making a small effigy of BiL and will be sticking pins in it shortly.

Oldest has spent two and a half days at preschool which means that both my girls and me now have yet another ruddy cold. How do people not feel guilty sending snotty lilluns out?

                      ^^^^ KIN'ECK! and more

Ooops, sorry, still got caps lock on lol.

It's wet here at the moment, roads are flooding, ditches are full and part of our lawn is under water.

Yet STILL the idiots at the stables want to turn their horses out, so they can save a fiver a week on hay FFS. What do they do, they stand by their gates, in the muddiest part of their paddocks, and bitch at each other because they don't want to be there. Then, when their idiot owner brings them back in, they eat twice as much hay and feed to compensate for a hungry morning.

See - I keep telling you horsey people are mental!

Oh, and I'm not moaning about the wet, or the floods. We're in the driest part of the country, and are bl**dy lucky, compared to many. Have to say, I did feel sorry for the Brolly and Welly seller in the link above. Poor beggar.

                      Ho Hum.

Dear driver - would it killed you to have stopped when the pedestrian light was on amber/red, rather than speeding up to dodge through before the cold pedestrian in shorts and a T waiting for the change in lights could cross?

You would have had to endure - what - 45 seconds pause in your warm and comfy car, and instead, you made me stand there in the cold with legs gradually seizing up.

Think of someone else for a change, you twerp.

when you decide to go shopping, and are doing the driving,do not ask a very unwell person if he would like to come out for a change of air, yes,i am driving,i not sure of the way,but i DO know how to drive, very bad passenger,i need to drive more,as my confidence will fade away, then 1 day i might have to rely on me,and got no nerve to do it,MEN,it is nice to be driven around, but,

Post number 42. Idiots who go out in shorts in this weather!

Referring back to the idiot horse owners - today it was dry and sunny. So they left their horses in...

Oh, may as well keep going, now I've started If you are going to pass the parked cars, that are on your side of the road, causing me to jump on my brakes to avoid a collision, at least have the ruddy decency to thank me for stopping. Next time I wont - my tank versus your little tin and fibreglass car - which car will need the repair? Idiot.
