UKMail - failed delivery twice to shipping address (Mum was in) now say they won't deliver to shipping address, only billing address. I take a day off work (unemployed in 6 weeks, so not a good look) to be at billing address. UKMail don't show up. Or respond to emails.

Leccy bill this time of year, when we have no funds.

We had a leccy bill the other day. According to them we have used 52% more leccy compared to this time last year. I do NOT think so.sigpicComment

I had a leccy/gas bill too. They wanted to increase my Direct Debit by £24 a month based on their estimated meter reading. I gave them the correct readings and they have reduced my current DD by £20 a month - that is £44 less than they estimated it should be.
My Rant (though I hate ranting) is utility companies who Guesstimate your bills - and get it wrong
Check your bills and check again. Just don't trust them to be right!Comment

Reason I am moaning is not the cost. It's the unnecessary price rise in the cost of pumps which now have to meet new standards to reduce the amount of electricity used. That extra cost will save less than 6 watts per hour.
Anyway I am a plumber I was born to moan and then went to college to get qualifications in moaning came ........................top of the class in that one

My big rant. People who think they are handy men when they are not.
Hubby insisted the new skirting board he bought at a closing down sale would put a nice finish on the bedroom I am currently decorating even though I had already painted the existing one.
Well, when I was out today he decided to do it.
He dammaged the central heating pipe.
Result. Wet floor, wet ceiling in the dining room, damaged computer, electric in said bedroom not working due to wet plugs.
All the clothes in the airing cupboard turfed out on the floor as the turnoff for the water is in there.
Is life not hard enough.?

Ordered MORE seeds today. because the list of a 147 varieties of herbs, flowers & veg that I have sent out to my customers doesn't have what one of them wants! Am I mad? I only have about 4 customers that I specifically grow for. I only offer the list of things that I'm growing for myself, because sowing a few extras it's not a big issue. But having had my little rant I do make a little bit of pocket money and I do want to expand my little business. So keeping customers happy is a good way to start.Comment
