Grrr bonfires...some neighbour or other by the stench has had a bonfire tonight, it's hanging in the air, it's a warm night , we would like windows open thanks GRRRRRRRR

Late night trip to out of hours gp - severe tonsilitis with a 50/50 chance of developing into an abscess which requires hospital treatment- grrrrrr. Just hope antibiotics work over the weekend. Oh, & as it really ********* hurts every time I swallow I'm a bit dehydrated & really hungry. Grrrrrrrr again.

Horseflies are problems for me too SP , bite swells right up , nightmare.

This is not a rant as I am more saddened than annoyed...................

Tonight, we were supposed to be going to a long term friends silver anniversary do. Cab booked, OH's shirt ironed etc. She has been planning it for months and I have helped out quite alot.

On Wednesday morning my world fell apart as my OH was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimers - he is 56. He wanted me to tell all family and friends on Wednesday so I did.

Text message last night - huge mistake had been made and there was not enough room in the hall for everyone so my 'friend' was telling some people that they can't go...........................


Please.....if any friend of family member tells you this kind of news please don't just walk away.

I was told 6 weeks ago that the Consultant thought that it was Vascular Dementia but after another CAT scan it has been confirmed as Alzheimers.

Please don't turn your backs on anyone with this kind of news.

Off now to try and figure out what a Power of Attorney is as I have been told that I will need one soon.

Lumpy, feel for you and don't know in this particular case but even at this difficult time don't assume that people are necessarily avoiding you. Sometimes there are genuine mix ups coinciding with bad times, nothing more sinister. It MIGHT be something more than that but not necessarily and automatically thinking badly of people, although understandable, will only make it worse for you and cause you upset. However bad it gets, true friends will always help out but each one can't be there 100%

Sun this morning then the heavens opened. Rain stops, sun tries again, I go up a ladder outside to try to clean my gutters, rain starts again. I come inside, rain stops, sun tries again, I go back outside up the ladders, rain starts again.

Repeat ad infinitum.

Please everybody take care when issueing advice regarding power of attorney, it has several forms & as such professional advice should be sought by interested parties to find which for is best suited to particular ciircumstances

My rant...one 6 yr old cat who thinks she's a kitten this morning

Yup...live mouse caught and returned to the garden
Yup....fresh cat food and water put down
Yup ...eye and neck 'wounds' cleaned and medicated
Yip...lots of cuddles

And nope...this is one morning I really didn't need to be up early!.

Second rant...
After our broody chook sitting on 11 eggs for over 3 weeks, (one hatching and then dying after being trodden on) I volunteered OH to crack open the other eggs, only to discover that none of the others were fertile.
Looks like my 2 old boys aren't so fertile any more!

Aaaarrgh! Aaaargh! Annoyed! Need glasses! Need a brain!

I've been really busy over the last week or so, I am streamlining my life. I have emptied and cleared every cupboard in my house of clutter and carp. I also have to be taxi driver twice a day for my daughter who enrolled in a summer school art program.

So, now that the justification is out of the way , onto my rant. I bought a meal deal from a well known supermarket tonight. I intending buying a bottle of wine anyway so I figured it would be cost effective to just go for the meal deal offer and I was tired and couldn't be faffed cooking if I'm honest..

Problem is, we can't eat gluten. None of the dessert options were suitable but we got one included anyway and gave it to daughter's friend. It still seemed cost effective even without the dessert.

Fast forward to heating the stuff up and lo and behold, the chicken and leek in white wine sauce (whose packaging I thought I'd read), actually contains gluten after all!. My neighbour benefited from that one!

So I ended up paying a tenner for a bottle of wine and a few roast potatoes.

We all know one, rant!

You know when you have that one person who eg: If I was a good runner they would have to be the champion at it. If I said my kid picked big bogeys hers would have got his finger right up there to touch his brain!

I dunno why but it really winds me up with this one person, and its someone I have to deal with daily so cant really avoid the slaver as she doesn't just to it to me she does it to everyone. She gets slated about it! Its mostly about her kids as we all talk about our kids at work but its got to the point where this person grinds on me like really gets under my skin. I know it will pass but for now its annoying. She also calls everyone, like everyone. Then she smiles and laughs with them 5 mins later. The lass is my age and it bemuses me to think she never see's the look on peoples faces when she goes on this way.
