  • Changed the sofa covers yesterday. Thought it would be safe to put the white ones on. My fault, I forgot to put a throw on it. The dogs have "signed" it.

To be quite honest they usually go straight for their breakfast when they come in, but no, not today. It's rained so they headed for the sofa instead.

I'll just turn the seat cushions over and hope the other covers dry quickly.

Oh, and I'm not dressed yet so they've signed my jimjams too.

    • Since my car was 'attacked' with a brick, and my bag stolen whilst I was at the plot for 20 minutes, watering, I've lost all interest in going up there, just don't feel safe any more, silly I know, good thing it's the getting towards the end of the growing season ( for me, anyway). Hope my enthusiasm will return!

        • You should feel perfectly safe they steal from people's cars when nobody's around, like rats they are. I don't like anything visible in my car, even when I'm driving through some places I think if I'm stopped at lights, someone could open my door if they've spotted my handbag,I have locked myself in sometimes while driving through some areas or dark back roads at night. If there were bigger penalties for thieves maybe they wouldn't keep thieving? Not enough is done in our country to stop these thieves!

          • It drives me up the wall sometimes but I do understand why car manufacturers do it, my passenger side door doesn't open unless i open it from the inside. Now I'm a bit on the small side so my arms aren't very long so I have to release my seatbelt, shuffle sideways and pull the passenger handle twice to let my passenger in. I thought that central locking was a brilliant innovation, but the problem of people hijacking your car at traffic lights has put a stop to that.

            • Now I'm not bad with 'plugs & screws, in fact I am pretty darn good with plugs and screws, but yesterdays wind beat me. Woke up this morning to find one of my Tumbler hanging baskets complete with bracket on the floor.

Look out bracket here come the big screws and your going to get it...................screwed that is.

              • I didn't look at the the booklet that came with the last mag because it has a picture of beetroot on the front. Having looked through it there is no recipe in there with beetroot in it. I'm very, very allergic to beetroot and just the picture reminds me of how very ill i was last time I inadvertantly had some. On the other hand, anyone seeing this and looking for a way to deal with this veg would be expecting to find a recipe inside.

                    • The weather being so bleeding bad the lampost outside my house fell apart and hit my flaming car. Then electric company give me that mmmmmm yes ok well it's not something we have had happen before when one has come down. They don't normally hit a car. Not heard of that one before. REALLY!!!!!! be an interesting chat with them tomorrow that's for sure. So flipping mad it's unreal.
How my tunnel and plants are still standing if their "very superior robust " lampost compared to the old ones fall apart in the wind I have no idea.

                        • Aargh! I've had such a mad, mad day that I forgot to water the toms this morning. I've only just done it. It's been raging hot today and very windy. Could be the last straw for some of the plants. Even if they survive, lots of the toms will split.

What a total idiot I am!

                          • A large and aggressive jobsworth dustman who not only refused to empty my bins because the previous dustman who failed to empty my bins had not put a red tag on them ???.... He then screamed up the street at me that I was (EDIT) in general terms being unreasonable & annoying him

perhaps it is a coincidence that this is the same crew that smashed into my stationary car a couple of years ago and drove off but were caught when my husband ran after them?

No. I don't think so either.

                            • We rent our house via a letting agent. Land lord has called round to sort something out and it turns out the letting agents are pushing him to put our rent up. They have admitted to us in the past they have suggested it to him but looks as if they are pushing even more now.
