    Thanks clod Very interesting.
Beneath the pile of slices, is a long, thick, limb that snapped off when the tree was felled and was buried beneath the rest. It hasn't been "sliced" yet!. Not as thick as the trunk but impossible to move without it being chunked.
I think that's my main concern about offering it to anyone. Its so heavy to move and access isn't that easy. A wheelbarrow, yes, but nothing larger as it has to go down the side of the house.!

It might still be worth asking if someone can use it - it sounds great!

A mobile chainsaw mill will fit through a standard garden gate (as will a stump-grinder, or a much sturdier trolley than a barrow) so anyone who sees the potential and has this kind of kit would probably be delighted to hear from you.

If it must be broken down, the longer the better - simply more options for use and less likely to crack as it dries
