Is it only Americans that use this expression?
We've recently had Banamelon who IMHO was more of a Lemon.
We had Melonmen who we think may have been the same person & called me bladdy Molly.................
Now we have Sunsomebodykitty who also uses this expression....
Could they all be the same person?

    ttfn.

My parents used to say TTFN, but they were from another age - having grown up in the twenties and thirties.
Maybe Bag Molly is right and it's only used by North Americans these days. They do tend to be quite backward sometimes with the English language e.g. still using the term faucet when meaning a tap, not getting the hang of spelling colour, etc.
What do you get if you divide the circumference of a pumpkin by its diameter?
            Pumpkin pi.

Ok, someone dumb it down for me. What does Ttfn stand for. I really struggle to get my head around silly shortenings
I grow 70% for us and 30% for the snails, then the neighbours eats them

Isn't Ta Ta an English expression anyway? I can't quite hear it in my head as an American phrase.

^^^^Now you know why I don't go in the GR. Mind you, you now look like you have been in there to long

Edit: I did know a couple of camp lads some years ago that used to use ttfn (I don't mean to offend anyone that is camp but hopefully you can work out the way in which it is said)

It is William, but some Americans use it as an affectation

Well my grandad used to say that but not abbreviated like that, he would also look confused
