  • How do you get to your plot?

How do you get to and from your plot? Is it in your back garden? Down the road? Miles away?

Do you walk? Drive? Take public transport?

Asking after another 50 minute tube journey back from mine earlier today.

Mine is a 40 minute walk in summer or a 10 minute drive the rest of the time.

I walk out my back door...
I am lucky enough to have a garden outside😉

Likewise Trip, 1 minute walk to the bottom of the garden.

The garden, greenhouse etc.. are just outside but the allotment is a 2 min drive away, it should really be a 5 minute walk away but there's always too much to take, bring back etc etc..
            excuses, excuses!

10 minute walk away, or very occasionally a two minute drive.

Walk down to the bottom of the garden.

Previous UK plot we used to drive about 10 mins, with loads of stuff in the boot we didn't like to leave on the plot.

Mine's just a mile away, which is brilliant. I cycle in summer, drive in winter.

I am in rented but the landlord put in years ago 3 raised beds. They get repaired every year by us as they are always falling apart. So because of this I only put salad stuff or crop that doesn't take to much time to grow in case we need to move.
My allotment plot is about 3.5miles away. I now take the car as I have no storage down there and I need to take my tools down with me.
So 1 minute to garden and about 15 mins in the car.

My greenhouses are close to the house and the veg patch is at the bottom of the garden.
