I was going to do a big thingy about how this conversation came about but basically my hair is very, very long because I don't trust hairdressers. I went out today with my hair in a pony tail after washing it but it hadn't dried when i went in the pub so i took the scrunchy out. It's always tied up in one way or another.

I've been told I should leave my hair free more often and that it is beautiful. I'm gobsmacked that anyone would think that a 68 year old woman's hair would be lovely and was contemplating having it cut off if i could find a hairdresser I trusted.

You keep your hair if it makes you happy - what a lovely compliment!

If youre happy with is all that matters. Please yourself Janie.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Why should your hair not be beautiful? Age is no barrier to having vibrant, shining healthy hair.

Accept the compliment at its face value and be proud of your crowning glory.

I wash my hair every night. SWMBO ex-hairdresser tells me I shouldn't as it will wash all the natural oils out.

Then says "Mind you....... with you its only like washing your face isn't it"............
