  • Bank Job in pictures

No not a hold up, the bank to the left of my plot. Taken a number of weeks but today my new pumpkin bed emerged.

    Brief history in pictures below

    In the begining

    After a haircut last March

    Time to tackle the mess

    Some proved a little stubborn

At last all the stumps are out

Meet my pumpkin bed on the next post

Looks like a lot of hard work. How did you get permission to extend your plot?

Technically I didn't need to Wendy, the boundary of my plot runs to the road on the site plan. The council are also pretty laid back as long as I haven't encroached on someone else. I did check first though

I can see you going on your summer holiday and you come back to the vines across the road. Looks good
I grow 70% for us and 30% for the snails, then the neighbours eats them

                    Wot Lumpy said!

I'm seriously impressed though! I've seen pics of that last big root coming out but hadn't realised you did a full bed of them It certainly knocks that big 9-inch long lupin root from yesterday to size!

You deserve a Grafters Medal for the sheer work...it looks FANTASTIC! Here's to a perfect pumpkin-growing summer

Good neighbours Lottie, plus I am still 4' from the road. Think I have decided on:

                              Crown Prince
                              Jack be Little
                              Autumn Prince
                              Pattipan

Don't even know if I like squashes
