Well that's the edible garden show over for me. Just as well, I couldn't afford to go again tomorrow. No photos today as most of the shopping is still in the car. I think the hotel would get a bit funny if I started pushing a wheelbarrow through the foyer, full of stuff ( I really do mean full! ). I got more seeds, more chilli plants. Sweet pea plants. Sausages, cheese, chocolate, more chilli sauce! 2 knives ( 9"filleting & 8"santoku ). Scared myself by buying a very expensive pair of wellies , necklace pendant made from a birch leaf. A few gifts for the lovely people looking after all our beasties. Lastly ( of the things I remember) tomato plant. Why you may ask.

Picked up lots of tip and advice form lots of people.
Highly recommend that show to everyone and anyone even remotely interested in veggie gardening.

You did well to get home so quickly BB. Someone from one of the stalls apparently left the show at 3pm didn't get home till 1am because of it. The driver of the lorry was very lucky to get out of that.

I didn't get a propagator. I need bigger! I've got a little fella like that.
Very pleased you enjoyed your gin. I got a bottle of prosecco.

Did you buy something from every stall, Sp?
Sounds brilliant. Really pleased you enjoyed it and, maybe, left something for other visitors to buy!!

                            What did I buy?
Well I got really excited about an extendable window cleaning pole with a water feed, so ended up buying the 8 meter version, only 3 meters when stored so it fits in the car with a least 2" to spare!
I also diverted to an artist supplies shop on the way to the show this morning and spent way too much on acrylics to decorate my woodturnigs.
Am I glad it only comes round once a year? Yes but then it is our first proper holiday for 4 years
(And I'm thinking about going to the Harrogate woodturning show in the autumn)

You could do a double Bob ....... http://www.flowershow.org.uk/autumn-flower-show-2016

I could even bung a few bits of cherry, ash & oak in the boot for you

Good job you went this year as the EGS is no more

EXCLUSIVE: The Edible Garden Show Closes - The Horticultural Channel

Its sad that a show aimed at growing food rather than pretty flowers, is closing. However, I've never been to it as it was too far away (although that didn't stop SP)
