I'm glad the card arrived LD. Sorry to hear about Mr LD's fall, it does seem common in stroke patients, they are obviously not fully aware of their weaknesses. Why they don't put lap belts on chairs I don't know. I know hospitals have fall sensors but they tend to go off even if the patient shuffles. Anyway, less of my waffling, take it easy & try not to worry too much, I know it's easy for me to say that but we don't want 2 inpatients from the LD family.............sigpicGorillas are very intelligent, but they don't have to be as delicate as chimps -- they can just smash open the termite nest,

BM as much as that would be a good idea strapping them to a chair for their own safety, I doubt other people or authorities would see it that way. They would say it's abuse and that we are taking away their dignity.
Yes I know the fall sensors go off when a patient just shuffles on the chair or in bed. But at least they it's there for safety just in case someone does fall.
I know when I am working and the sensor goes off I have to go to it quickly to see if they are okay.Carrie

Lottie, it will take time for your husband to get back to his self. A lot of patients and support will help him. And I do know he will get frustrated from time to time when he is trying to do something and can't do it.
Take each day as it comes. And fingers crossed Mr LD has a speedy recovery.Carrie
